I saw you looked into Animal Crossing. How do I invite you to my island, or visit yours? I opened my gate for friends, but not sure if that does it or not? Does it notify you if my island is opened?

I think amongst the QT3erati the custom when opening up - since the opening is usually for particular reason, like a meteor shower - has been to post a Dodo code here and/or on the Discord.

I just checked and there doesn’t appear to be any special notification that a friend’s island is open. When you speak to Orville about flying somewhere via the internet, he can tell you if any friends’ islands are open. And away we go, to the Frop Bog.

Ah yeah, as @Calelari said, there is no notification that a friend’s island is open - you’d have to check with Orville. That said, I accepted your friend invite the other day, but I still don’t see you in my friend list in AC… I can’t recall exactly, but I think maybe I have to send you an invite as well, and I haven’t done that. I’ll double check that!

Hm, well, I just double checked, we are already friends in Nintendo Online, so it doesn’t look like I need to send you a mutual invite, but for whatever reason, I can’t see you listed as a friend in the NookPhone app. I checked with Orville just now, and he didn’t tell me about the Frop Bog being available, but maybe your gates are closed at the moment. I so have a vague recollection that there’s some weirdness where a friend doesn’t appear in the app until you’ve visited them at least once, so maybe that’s the issue.

I was able to visit in a little bit ago. The only thing I can think of is that I did close out ACNH sometime between accepting his request and today. He’s on Mata Nui at the moment loading up on extra recipes.

(Be nice if a recipe you’re staring at on the ground had some sort of indicator you already know it…)

The gates are closed right now since I’m being interrupted a lot by nurses doctors.

I just built my first bridge but the recipe disappeared. Will I be able to build more sometime soon?

Sorry for yet another series of questions. Where do I get wrapping paper from? I read if I wrap gifts to residents you get a bigger boost to friendship stat?

Also for grades on your house (if that’s even a thing), does color matching and theme matching matter?

Last question - I e sometimes accidentally hit a resident with my net. Does one hit hurt your friendship stat? Or do you have to hit them many times in a row for it to affect them?

I bought a wetsuit, snorkel mask, and knapsack. The wetsuit let’s me swim, but are the snorkel and knapsack doing anything to make swimming better?
