I couldn’t stand it anymore, Switch Lite and Animal Crossing were delivered Friday. I’m Linn at Crimscote and have peaches and pears. I know I’m late to the party here so understand if i don’t get many visitors but hope I can make a few friends (and score some apples and cherries!) Also, I wonder if someone can easily post the link to the tracker you are all using for turnip trends? The 1800+ posts are foiling my attempts to find it so far.
@Indyls welcome to the cult! First thing to do if you haven’t already is add people via their friend code (think it’s the second post in this thread). And put yours in your post so we can add you.
This is the turnip calc I use occasionally. Eventually you’ll also notice the patterns and can kind of see when a spike/drop may happen.

One thing this one has (that I haven’t seen in other trackers) is asking if it’s your first week buying turnips. Apparently the pattern is different the first week. It also bases its predictions on your pattern from the previous week.

I think that turnips remove some of the excitement from catching valuable fishes and bugs (beyond collecting them for the museum/models) but at the same time, infrastructure changes and QoL house upgrades are a bit too much of a grind without turnips.
My problem is that I start saving up for a home expansion, but then I keep buying new clothes or household items. So not only am I not saving money, but my remaining inventory space quickly fills up. I mean, when is a Glengarry going to show up in the shop again??
Turnips take some of the edge off. Plus, even when you have a fully expanded house, there are plenty of other things to do in the game.

We completed the fossil section of our museum today! I’m curious to see if they still regenerate daily on our island.
I feel like there should be some sort of New Game + for fossils: Agree to remove all of your fossils, and now you get a chance to find a rare Gold fossil. Something like that.

Any decent turnip prices this week? I’m a bust this time, my max is 132 and I’ve been seeing 40’s to 90’s all the last four chances so far.
I’m still hovering just above 50% odds of a large spike this week. Fingers crossed; earliest slot for it would now be PM EST tomorrow.
