As far as I can tell, it’s always been random, and usually the opposite of what I’m looking for. If it’s a series I want to show the wife, it always ends up being subbed. If it’s a series I want to watch for myself, it ends up being painfully dubbed. Though I definitely think the content is heading more and more towards dubbing.

I really wish they would do two things. One is label is at being subtitled or dubbed, so that I at least know what to expect when I come across it, instead of sit through the buffering and the intro only to be disappointed. The second is to just license both versions and let me swap back and forth between the two, hell have dupe entries in netflix if they have too, one with (Sub) and one with (Dub) on the end or something.

OMG REDLINE !

(all I can say, the visual splendour, it’s depthless)

Yep, i saw it in Sunday. Very nice gorgeous looking movie, though it was a bit simple plot-wise.

I think i liked Speed Racer a bit more. :)

OH GOD. Stein’s Gate 20.

It’s so fucking on!

If you like the style of Redline, you should check out the Takeshi Koike’s earlier work Trava Fist Planet.

Hell yisss.

Aw dammit, the only anime store in Boston/Cambridge is going to close next month. Then again, I haven’t gone there often at all lately. :\

Still, they certainly kept the place running longer than most anyone probably expected. sigh

Yeah, but such shops were only useful back before a) everything was online anyway, and b) you couldn’t order stuff more cheaply on the Internet if you wanted disks. So it really is surprising they lasted that long. That store in particular charges very high prices for commonly available DVDs, to the point you’d be foolish to buy anything from them. In recent years their wares have mainly been figurines, anyway.

No. 6 is good, but holy hell is it rife with bro-lust. Sion, Dogkeeper, and Rat are all great characters, though. The story doesn’t make much sense yet, but Bones is doing their thing with characterization, and it’s as great as always.

I am loving No. 6. The world as they are revealing it is really interesting, and the relationships between Rat, Sion, and Dogloan are really interesting. I’ve somehow ended up being really fond of Dogloan.

I am also watching No. 6, it’s decent but i hate how weak is in the area of why the city is a dystopia. It seems the government is secretly evil just because.
About the homolust, well, have you watched the last episode? Let’s say now it’s less ambiguous…

Right not i prefer Steins Gate, Tiger & Bunny and Penguin Drum over No. 6.

I’m pretty sure they are doing a slow build to finding out why No. 6 is so screwed up.

That ending to Usagi Drop episode 5, another moment of heartwarming in the episode. This and Baka to Test are all I need for this season. Which reminds me that I have to catch up to Usagi and Tiger & Bunny.

And those pics of Redline up there remind me of both Afro Samurai and Gonzo.

Yep. That’s the regimen to watch right now.

Man, no love for Kaiji.

Big-nosed mulletman gambles. It is awesome.

ICHIJOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Oh good, I’m not alone. I know people who will watch it, but they are waiting for the season to finish because they like to marathon things.

Rock, paper scissors. Only Kaiji could make it gripping and badass. Been meaning to finish it and don’t know why I stalled on something so ridiculously awesome.

Second season is getting close to wrapping up, and the theme of taking something that should not be fun to watch for 10 episodes in a row and making it unbelievably badass continues.
