Ok I think I saw someone up thread ask for a summary of this thread. I’ll just post a list of everything I’ve kept downloaded as well as bought. I delete anime I don’t like so, yeah. I can’t guarantee for preferences. I’m not going to do summaries for each; some of these are kinda stinkers some aren’t (did I use that semicolon correctly? It’s been awhile). I’ll place * next to each one that either I like or others highly recommend or ** if it qualifies for both.
Don’t read too far into the plot descriptions, there may be spoilers and since some of them link the mangas as well in wikipedia the plot may be slightly different though close enough to give you an idea.

If you’re wondering why there is very little animes of pre-teens and teens in giant fighting robots or old 80’s anime it’s because, you know, not really a fan so I have no idea what’s out there or it’s quality. When they get mentioned here I check them out, but they almost never get farther than that. For instance Mazinger? not for me.
Fuck yes Awakening of the Trailblazer has the BEST ENDING EVER.
Not really, but I loved the movie (I got to see it at NYCC on a big screen so I might be a little biased).
Also, do not watch Grave of the Fireflies in English. Holy shit are the voices godawful.

The short list of what I recommend is Twelve Kingdoms (absolutely stick with it), Mushishi, and Nodame Cantabile. Quite a few others I liked but wouldn’t recommend till those three have been viewed.
I did finish Akagi, One Outs, and Kaiji S1. One Outs was by far my favorite but I enjoyed all three, Akagi more than Kaiji which liked to stretch scenes out past the breaking point.

…What the fuck just happened?
Y’know, that was completely demented and also the best ending possible.

Well, for a slight change try the series of six movies, Break Blade.
Or, for a real change, Star Driver.
Oh god. This week’s Tiger and Bunny.

What happened to the Highschool of the Dead series?
It had its 12 episode run and it was never spoken of again.
Murbella

There was a special as well.
In any event, I would guess that Morberis did not include anime he did not find potentially interesting as implied by the last paragraph in his post.

It started off great, then episode 6 (or was it 7?) happened. Anyone who stuck with it knows the episode I’m talking about.

Where are you finding this? Tokyo Tosho doesn’t even have a raw for it up yet.
I watch the live raw over Keyhole while chatting with other Tiger & Bunny fans every Saturday morning. There’s a way to get into Ustream from America too but it requires VPN and all sorts of nonsense I don’t care for. Keyhole is laggy and imperfect, but good enough for discussing all the damned suffering.
Hulu subs should be up by now.

I was pumped up to start watching it until I realized it was Hulu. Guess it’s back to Bakemonodialogues.

Tiger & Bunny is really drawing out this conclusion. On the other hand, Lunatic is bound to get involved soon, and he makes everything better.
I can’t believe the last EP of FMA: Brotherhood is airing tonight.

Watched it. Oh god. Fuck.
Meanwhile, Pixiv is full of happy Barnaby-making-fried-rice art.

I just finished Angel Beats(!). I have to say I enjoyed the first 6-7 episodes when it was clearly a comedy, but then it made the mistake of starting to take itself seriously. The last episode was terrible.
