I really enjoyed Katanagatari. It was certainly an interesting experiment and I thought it was more successful than not. Loved the art style and the ending too.

Penguindrum took a weird turn in #9, but I’m sure that will be explained in some way later. After the shock of the ending of #8, I guess they needed to give us a little break, and at least it’s apparent that this series is all about one thing: fate.

Penguindrum took an amazing turn by finally introducing a character who is definitely Fabulous Max.

Hah, I had to LOL that “Oh yeah, I remember now, I had a soulmate”. Some soulmate if you forgot him.

That episode had better pay off in a big way later because right now it smells of throwing a lot of BS at the screen and hoping we’ll be impressed by its lack of anything to say or reveal.

Also, I think the younger brother is getting on my nerves. How long can he maintain the “she has a heart of gold” delusion? She’s a psychopath and he’s putting his teachers life at risk while he fannies around on his guilt boat.

Well, she’s had a hard time of it, being terminally ill and then dead. Girl can’t be perfect.

Steins Gate Movie

Starting Ep. 24 in seconds… see yeah guys!

Just finished episode 24 of Steins;Gate.

Steins;Gate 24

Glad it came out to a happy ending, though it all seemed very fast, probably because 23 had really done all the heavy lifting. Still, I thought we were going to be teased a bit more that his life was on the line, and I’d have liked to dwell on that final encounter a bit more. Still, great series coming to a very satisfactory conclusion. Will be picking up the DVD the second it hits these shores

I can’t express in words how sad I am that this series has ended. It is the best series, not just anime, that I have seen in a long time. I think I will be prowling around the translation site for the visual novel, hoping they manage to complete it this year as they’re aiming to do.

Oh, and let me just add that I love in 23 the reason for the timeline being called Steins;Gate.

I meant the stalker, not their sister.

spoilers

First half is nothing unusual, because we already knew what was going to happen, when the fake blood failed i already imagined he would use his own, the only surprise was when he had to plunge his hand ughh, in that moment i thought we will have maybe a bittersweet ending. But in the end it was happy, the series finishes with a sweet sequence where we see all the members receiving their pins and finally we see the final meeting between Okabe and Christiiiina.

yay for spoiler tags! I’m still at work and haven’t watched it yet.

Sentiments echoed. That would have been disastrous.

heh. never heard of the show until i was reading tvtropes. they use it as the image for the entry LoadsandLoadsofCharacters

So many characters, it was once mistaken for the Japanese language.

You mean the (almost) first. Just like the episode title says.

Kaiji episode 24 - Oh man, the animators went out of their way to make Kaiji’s expressions when he started to beg match up with the manga absolutely perfectly. It was rad.

Tiger & Bunny finale - Just watched this live. No spoilers. It is glorious.

T&B, wow. Setup for another season? If so, now I know why Lunatic was never fleshed out. What a great finale!

The Tiger & Bunny finale was really good, sets up another season if they want one, while giving you a great ending if they don’t.

Make sure to watch beyond the credits.

I don’t know if you guys saw this, but on Ustream they announced T&B “next project” coming in January. No idea if that’s a second season, movie, OAV, or whathaveyou.

It wasn’t on Hulu, but that’s awesome news.

Oh my god, Huzzah finally subbed episode 6 of Hyouge Mono. Today is a good day.

Apparently there’s going to be an animated Steins;Gate film.

Now to wait eight months for episode 7. At this rate I’ll be able to watch the final episode on my deathbed.
