I have one episode left! After that, I’m thinking of watching Rise of the Shield Hero before starting Gaiden.
Haven’t seen Crest of the Stars yet, but it does sound pretty cool.

Banner of the Stars, the sequel, is the really good stuff in my opinion. Well, Banner I. Banner III is a bit sparse in terms of content and Banner II was nowhere near on the same level of quality as the first, but Banner I is primo space opera material in my memory. Crest does a good job of setting the stage and getting the viewer invested.
Yes, Crest and specially Banner I is were it’s at, I agree. And Banner 2 is mediocre.
So people can stop after Banner I
Droppin’ in just to reply on this one. Banner 2 is far from being mediocre. It is simply an exploration of fundamentally different issues, which staggers many viewers. If Banner I is about taking responsibility, Banner II is about facing the consequences of decisions and forming life priorities. Of all the parts of Banner (including here books up to Banner 6) Banner 2 is actually the strongest in narrative department.
I just finished Season 3 of Attack on Titan, so as a follow-up, I just watched that trailer. I like that it’s in Japanese with no translation, so I have no clue what’s going on it. And yet, I can guess, just based on what I’ve seen in Season 3.
The show is really good at revelations, and the revelation at the end of Season 3 that they’ve been building towards since Season 1 was a huge one. So big, and so overwhelming that if the show had ended with Season 3 (and it totally could have, that was a very acceptable ending, since most the emotional character beats and loose ends have been taken care of, and the big mystery has been revealed), it would have made for a really downer ending.
The show has to find some way of digging out of that pit of despair in Season 4. I have no clue how they’re going to do it. But I can’t wait to find out. This show is so good at action and set pieces. Season 3.5’s battle on both sides of the walls? Brilliant. I love how each side has moves and countermoves and contingencies, and as you watch that play out, it’s just thrilling, because the show is really good with music and showing motion and action sequences. They know when to slow it down completely and when to speed it up and kick in the music and ratchet up the tension. And that moment that they teased at the end of Season 3.0 for Season 3.5? That moment was the best moment of the series I thought.
Welcome to the site. Don’t know a thing about that series, but always cool to hear differing opinions.
I’m not even sure how to describe seasons or subseasons of My Hero Academia anymore. Anyway, the sub-season in which they fight the Yakuza is the one I watched, and it was a decent one. Not as good as earlier Seasons/Sub-seasons, but they still do a good job with their epic multi-episode fight scenes. Though I feel like they’re stretching out this show too much sometimes.

Yeah, I enjoyed that arc too. The remainder of the season was somewhat weaker because it fit into a somewhat filler mode.
Yeah, last night I saw an episode where Midorya freaks out because a classmate gives him cheese. It was the biggest waste of my time since I tried watching 6 Underground on Netflix.
Dude I don’t think I’ve seen that one yet and I’m laughing so hard based on your description. I can just see you WTF’ing it while it’s playing.
It was Aoyama. I’d have been freaked out, too.
Oh right! Lol I remember that now. It was totally unnecessary but I thought it was a funny enough aside.
Currently watching Witch Hunter Robin, Psycho-Pass season 1 (with the intention of watching 2&3), and Claymore with my wife and daughter. The wife has only seen Robin. My daughter has also seen season one of Psycho-Pass. I’ve watched all of it except season 3 of psycho-pass.
For my workout show, after finishing LotGH, I’m watching Rise of the Shield Hero, before watching LotGH Gaiden.
Thanks to @TurinTur’s anime recommendation thread, I started Hunter x Hunter. It seemed too juvenile at first, but I trust TurinTur’s anime recommendations a lot at this point, so I kept going. I’ve watched 5 episodes now and I’m completely hooked. This is a great show. I really like the voice acting on the Dub that’s on Hulu as well, so that’s a great bonus, since it means I don’t have to be looking at the screen and subtitles all the time, so I can watch it while playing with my son and doing other things.
Yeah, for HxH you need a bit of patience, as the first 2-3 are a bit too much a ‘another kid shonen’. I will say, things just started improving.
It’s tough not to get into a mode where you binge through several episodes. It’s really easy to binge anime because so many of these shows divide up battles/scenarios into multiple episodes. This month of Hulu I couldn’t help but binge Attack on Titan, and then My Hero Academia and now Hunter x Hunter episodes.

I am having a problem with the Crunchyroll app on my Roku TV. I have been a subscriber for years but all of a sudden the app will not remember my userid and password. I have to enter every single time.
Anyone else run into this?
I have rebooted the Roku. Maybe I should remove the app and reinstall it (just thought of that).
This happens with the PS4 app all the time but there’s a trick there. On the PS4 when it does this I go to the sign page and never fill out the sign in form, just wait a bit then back out and tada I’m magically signed in.
The app on both is kind of garbage.

Now that I think about it, I had something like that happen to me too. I backed out for a sec by accident and I was signed in. Weird
