Good timing.
I think the 2nd half of Season 4 starts on Monday in Japan.

Yeah, the second part starts airing in about 48 hours.
I like Polygon’s list because it tells you which US streaming service has each recommendation.

I find myself not interested in most of the animes this winter season. The only one that seems interesting so far is Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru and I will give Slow Loop a shot too.
Otherwise I will use this season to catch up on a few older series that I have not finished yet.
Now Spring 2022 has some series I am looking forward to:
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
This is a very cute romance that is quite amusing - the manga is delightful so looking forward to the anime
Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season
Another delightful romance - I enjoyed the first season
Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu
Read a few of the light novels so looking to see the anime
Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai -Ultra Romantic
Very funny show I think most folks are familiar with this series.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 2
Shield Hero!
SPY x FAMILY
The manga is very good hope the anime is too
TIGER & BUNNY 2
About time for a second season!
Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san
Another romance - not sure how this will be in anime form but will give it a try
This is coming back? After what, 7 or 8 years?

Fist episode of the last season of AoT looks good.
I have read all the anime, and I think this season can be fantastic for the fans of AoT.
Trigger World has been running on Crunchy Roll, but I am waiting before subscribing for a month so that I can just watch all at the same time.
Looking forward to seeing this battle in full. The show puts a lot of effort into the battles, skills and strategies of all the teams, which is nice, although it does make the show rather long.
Ranking of Kings is good.
Full of heart, but also some surprising twists, and characters that aren’t as one dimensional as you may think it at first.
Two different trailers for the Shenmue series
Japanese with sub (Crunchyroll)
English Dub (Adult Swim)

Does anyone have a funimation account?
I cannot see a way to log out on their web page once I am logged in. That seems crazy.

The button is in a menu that pops up after you click your avatar in the upper-right corner. Or it should be, at least.

The new opening from Ranking of Kings is pretty hype

I watched The Orbital Children in Netflix, from the same author as Dennou Coil. Dennou Coil was a weird anime which in one hand it was about some kids, so there was clearly a juvenile cut to the story, and on the other hand it was full of hard to understand hard sci-fi bullshit (based on AR, mainly) so it would go way above kid’s heads, so it wasn’t clear in the end what was the target’s public of the series.
Similarly, here there are several children combined with scifi setting. The main plot is about a disaster in a space station destined for tourism and it features heavily AI and hacking.
In any case, I don’t recommend it. It had two first good episodes, it continues with two mediocre ones and it ends with two bad ones. So it was in a clear downward trajectory.
I watched the first season of Mushoko Tensei and really liked the story. The only issue is it feels like I’m watching an old anime because it is pervy as hell. If you can ignore that then it’s good stuff.
Heh. I liked the first season so much upthread, I tracked down the translations of the “light novel” that it’s based on, which is extremely long, and a terrible translation, but I read it all the way to the end. I hope the anime gets to tell that whole story, as it’s pretty epic and stays very amusing. The light novel stops being as pervy when the character gets married, as is the case in real life, I suppose.
Whatever you posted probably is what put it on my short list of stuff to watch since it’s this thread’s recommendations that usually get me watching something new. So, thanks!
Game Pass perks gave me 75 days of Crunchyroll. I’ve been sneaking in an episode here and there on my phone. Really loving Ranking of Kings. Thanks to the people recommending it upthread.
I also started watching the second half of the Final Season of Attack on Titan. It continues to be fantastic story telling.
I just finished 14 episodes of World Trigger. I would not want to watch these one week at a time, the show is a really slow burn.
Still, I enjoyed it greatly. The show really takes its time to show the strategies of the different teams involved in the tournament, and show case the the different weapons.
The best part of the show is that it’s about team battles. I really love how the powerful characters are really powerful, but the tactics of weaker characters can overcome those obstacles in a fashion that makes sense in the universe. So, the main character is by far one of the weakest in terms of energy (in not to strong in terms of battle reflexes) but uses stealth and trip wires to level the playing field for the ace on his team.
I guess I really should give OddTaxi a try despite it being about animals.
Hell yeah you should, that was the best anime I’ve seen in a long, long time. Riveting, and with a great payoff.
