Since I installed my new drive, 2 things have started happening.
First: It tells me that my primary drive is atapi incompatible, which if I go into setup and immediately exit it will boot. Any ideas?
Second: It keeps asking me to choose which xp to boot from. Neither of the drives I have is dual booting, I think it’s finding an earlier screwed up install, even though I told it to install over.
What can I do to fix these things?
the new drive is a maxtor 200 gig ultra ata/133.

Try checking your boot.ini file (located in the root of your C: drive). I believe it’s hidden by default. You may have overwritten your previous screwed up install but there might be a left over line in the boot.ini.
