So… why? :) Are you playing with a group of friends, and it’s just fun to hang out and blast baddies? Or has the (admittedly good) gameplay just got its hooks in you that deep?
I plan to come back when they add an endgame progression system (it’s more than just loot). In the meantime – likely a very long meantime – there are so many other great games.

Being “underemployed” right now, waiting for surgery soon and OCD. Not OCD to get all exploration, weapon challenges or platinum achievement though. Playing solo with randos completely.
I am that OCD, but I’m taking it kind of slow. And I think I’m enjoying it a bit more than you are at this point. Not that your arguments aren’t valid, they just aren’t bothering me quite as much, yet.
Yeah, in the past week or so, I’ve spawned into a couple of GM 3 Legendary Contracts solo. There are some of the semi-random Contract sub-missions I can probably do, but it isn’t fun when you get the ones that are pretty much impossible.
I think per the article above, sticking with GM1 is probably the way to go now, because (per the article again), GM1 Strongholds (apparently Heart of Rage, in particular), are the most effective way to farm Legendary Gear.

I got 5 legendaries out of doing the GM1 version of today’s legendary mission (the tomb of general tarsis challenges) twelve times. 2 from chests before the 2 battles that people keep skipping by rushing past them.

I am filled with self-loathing.
I get a single new voice line from Zoe about the monument containing the general’s remains. No one else prostrates themselves at my feet even though I am the friggin’ Champion of Tarsis.

Yes, sorry. Just riffing off of rei’s previous comment. :)
The way Bioware’s been handling this release, it can be hard to tell :)
Kinda nice that you get lore about ‘The monitor’, that you hardly know anything about from the actual Storyline, weeks after you’ve killed him (repeatedly, and/or skipped in that stronghold), after doing a crazy grind with shit rewards.
I did run around Tarsis after every missions to see if there were new lore etc to pickup, and it was kinda nice to see the city change a bit. Still would’ve liked for more changes, and a non-shit UI, but, with Bioware I guess “ui” isn’t their forte (looking at you SWTOR Codex…- although even that one is better).
Anyone remember how many people the Anthem reddit had at some point? think its at 190k now. But probably like Le Division, the numbers will increase once “Anthem: A Realm Reborn” v1.8 is released.

I realized I got 100% cheevos on previous BioWare games but can’t be bothered with this one. Champion of Tarsis is as close as I can come.

Yep. Turns out bad netcode after all.
Man, that was driving me nuts. Seems like just about every time I went into freeplay I ended up getting booted for that “The server has shut down” error. On the upside, looks like this last fix took care of the problem I had been seeing, where the button press that brings up challenges and lore wouldn’t do anything most of the time. Now seems to be normally responsive.

Amateur hour for an online-only game.
They are just waiting for the magic to kick in, surely.
It got kinda funny with the repeated "Server will shutdown in 2 hours and 1 minute, Server will shutdown in 2 hours, … " messages. Almost meme worthy, except, “NO MEMES!”.
Those are a whole other thing. What I was seeing was just getting suddenly dropped to the title screen, with a little explanation box that said “The server has shut down.” Graceful degradation, indeed.

Yeah, those were so annoying. I wasn’t surprised that connection issues existed for the first week of release, but it’s pretty appalling that it took them until May to correct it. Damn, that code must be ugly.

After the last patch, did anyone notice the inventory count on the post-expedition screen and the forge screen to be DIFFERENT?

BTW BioWare’s job posting for loot designer to have been withdrawn or has been filled.
