If you like playing with other people, then I guess the answer would be six months ago.

Have BioWare announced when the cataclysm event will be? I’ll jump back in for that.

Think the cataclysm was when they decided to release the game without having any idea what kind of game they wanted to release.

Zing! Oh man, I could read these all day.

Funny that their whole in-game slogan is “strong alone, stronger together!”

That’s MY slogan

Oh hey, here we go - not a date, but release notes. Soon, presumably.

Cataclysm and 1.3 are live.

Same with Warframe, thought at my age the parkour bits are …

OK, my (adult) son comes and watches so he can laugh. We’ll leave it at that. I have gotten that weekly treasure mission done though every time so far. Some with more, some with less, comments from the peanut gallery.

I will say though I have to limit my Warframe time (old eyes) to even shorter per day than I had to limit Anthem. Yeah, old people problems.

I’ll still be like others and keep stalking this thread.

So … very soon I guess.

I’ll probably bounce back in on the xBox for some Iron Man flying again to check out the new content. I had a fun time with this while the content lasted. I’d be interested in playing with folks who want to check out the new content (as compared to randos who just want to race through it for the loot).

Because it is actually fun to fly around as Iron Man in the Content. The Gameplay is fun, it was the repeating the same content in a loot grind that sucked. I don’t do that in Diablo games either.

I do do that in Diablo games, but only because seasons and greater rift progression give me that “hit bell get treat” response at just the right pace. I wish Anthem had something similar! Honestly, I wish Anthem would just adapt everything Blizzard learned about endgame progression in terms of content, loot and character advancement.

But they’re probably not even allowed to talk about that game, either.

There are no progression systems, primary or secondary: there’s no in-game or out-of-game point to gearing up. No sign of the advertised “living, changing world” nor any meaningful facsimile of interplay between the factions over the static map. Fundamental loot system problems still exist. No stat screen, no text chat, no social tools, no UI enhancements to rudimentary functionality like mass salvage–nothing. Now, a separated, roped-off and time-limited map for Cataclysm with the point being score chasing.

It’s all YMMV of course but I find that all of those points don’t even offset the ability to take a colossus into battle and smash everything in your path.

Anyway I will totally be checking out Anthem tonight, see what’s up.

Let us know.

they added a blue tint to the load screen to match the sky! whee. still so many loading screens. hadn’t played from before i upgraded my aging haswell to ryzen 2700 but it still runs badly now at 50fps instead of 30fps. i’m not a fan of the ‘go here, use button, go to next way point, rinse and repeat’ mission structure.

the wonderful potential of the flight mechanic has never been utilized.

a little insulting to have the literal second new content be a mission that sends you to meet the new in-game shop.

Lest you think I’m just an asshole grump there was something good with the updates: hearing new lines from voice actor for the female player character Freelancer again

More bad: Guilds and text chat still missing. They released new mobile phone apps that have…a chatroom. That’s it for guild functionality. That’s pretty useless.

Mainly not, at least not if I have to talk to them (lol). I just bought this pre release to support Bioware (so sue me) but I’m still hoping it will suddenly become GREAT and I can spend some actual time with it.

That’s what I just started playing! =)
