I had a great session last night with three friends. Game can really sing when it works well. I find myself thinking about loadouts and builds, so it has its hooks in me for now.
Dragon Age Inquisition let you go into your inventory whenever and change weapons and armor.

I was thinking they had a separate loading screen for inventory because it’d be faster to get from there to the real money store.
Wait , I thought that was in game music. :(
Nicely detailed comparison. Wow the changes are brutal, not just in graphics but the general atmosphere, the liveliness of the world.
It is weird to me that they feel confident showing such vertical slice only year and a half before launch after 4 years of development, when they had to know it was bullshit.

AC Odyssey has an awesome loot system.
Haha I see what you did there.
Good to see that the final game looks so close, and even looks better in a lot of ways.

Great thanks for the tip.

Is anyone running this with an older i5 (Haswell, 4th gen Intel in this case) combined with faster GPU? Like AC Odyssey, the 4 cores in the i5 appears to be my bottleneck even with a GTX 1080 Ti. I can run at 30-40fps in High/Ultra as long as there are ZERO MOBS but it stutters to hell if there are enemies, requiring me to drop down to Medium. Worsened by day 1 patch of course. Even with G-Sync, it appears my GTX can no longer do most of the heavy lifting off of the lack of CPU cores.
I’ve already uninstalled but I’m curious other people’s experiences.
Haswell i7/Vega 56.
I had no issues for the past week, at least until last night. Really high frame rate for the most part. But I also play at 1080p.

Thanks. You have an i7 though and the more threads is probably getting taken advantage of. I should note I was trying to play in 1440p.

That’s really interesting, Rei. I have great performance on my 1080 with everything pegged to ultra (minus disabling vsync, of course), but I have an i7. I wonder how they pull it off on consoles with those anemic CPUs?
I will say this: when I switched from my regular display to my TV to play on the couch, it became a stuttering mess even though I was only running at 1440p. I found that for some reason on that display, switching from Borderless to Full Screen immediately got rid of the problem and it was glass smooth after that. I didn’t have that problem on my other display, so I thought it odd.

Exclusive fullscreen is almost always the highest performance mode so that the GPU doesn’t have to juggle desktop composition etc.
i5 2500k with a 1070 @1440p, playing on a mix of high and ultra just fine. Motion blur, chromatic aberration, etc off. Sometimes FPS drops into the 30s.
@Gedd you can see the rewards in the cortex.
That’s why I need challenges incidentally. Anybody have a contract to share on pc?

I’m running off SSD too. Thanks. Odd but this may give me some fodder to troubleshoot some more later.
I’m on an ssd now, but wasn’t initially. Well sort of, my HDD is cached by an ssd. I had significant hitching after the patch that is now gone after moving to an actual ssd.
I should also mention that, during the demo at least, I tried going down to medium and FPS went up, so I don’t think it is cpu limited.
Also, the 2500k is overclocked to 4.3

I’m just running at 3GHz stock or whatever. What’s frustrating is I get 85 fps in Forza Horizon 4 and 200fps in Gears of War 4.

Man, Gears of War 4 just ran like pure butter. I didn’t like the game at all but damn did it run fantastic.
