CRT or LCD?
You can get the 2001fp for as little as $570 now with deals… that’s stealing. Don’t look at anything else unless you work on high end graphics, desktop publishing, video work. For surfing the internet and playing games it can’t be beat with a stick.
If you want a monitor for games you still want a good 21" CRT, TFTs aren’t good enough yet. I have a TFT myself (a Samsung 193P), and while it’s fine for most games I wouldn’t recommend it over a CRT. TFTs are much nicer in general though.
When it comes to specific 21" CRTs I can’t help you, but I think most of them should be fine, just check the specifications.
