So, I was thinking, to justify the existence of the thread, we should post a little here for each turn
Nothing major or that gives away vital Intel.
For example:
turn one- picked up scout guys, gold, mana, found another city within 2 turns travel. Will capture that soon. Inspected army, full of pikemen, 1 ranged unit, no tier 3 units, 1 cavalry. Not happy!!!
Turn 2 - more exploring, lamenting my position, which has wide open avenues of approach. No mountains, no bodies of water, few forests.
How does one play this game, again? Are any of these mountains volcanoes? No, wait–I’m thinking of Civ VI.
I guess I’ll move my starting stack SE and explore this mana node. Oh, look–there’s a battlefield debuff I’d forgotten about. There goes one of my starting units.
“You wanna join my empire, hero? Sure. Now go forth and earn me a fortune!”
“By myself…?”
“Go. Earn. Me. A. Fortune.”
Turn 2
Damn, this swamp is really slowing me down. I’ll engage you dudes, who are positioned right next to me, on my next turn. Fear me!
Dopwnloading AoW3 now, because I’ve been preoccupied with Planetfall.

Nothing much happened. I discovered a village, which I shall conquer soon.
Thought about exploring on some ruins for some xp and loot, decided against it as I have few, and lower tier, units, so need to build myself up at least a little bit.
edit: progress in research and city construction, mine cleared, forces consolidated, have a game plan for the next few turns, urgently wanting a particular research to show up and it isn’t, realising my research capacity is low!!!
