Yep, the chances of drawing Scryer is not 1/14, cuz we are drawing 5 cards, not 1. I forget my high school probability stuff now, but it’s definitely higher than 7%, pretty sure it is the 36% MegaAdayu states.
My vote is for the Mystic only for this round, as we are cycling and we have a decent chance of 7 runes ourselves the next two rounds. We give ourselves a chance for the win, though we will lose big if it doesnt work out. However, We take the Lifebound cards, we pretty much auto-lose, even if it’s by a smaller margin.

I don’t think that it is an automatic loss. If you really commit to power and short sighted deck bloat for end game point value you can win a lot of games versus people burning hands trying to build a masterpiece. In this deck and with a Scryer on top of it you have a decent chance of triggering a mega unite party just by having things to unite.

I’m kind of meh about DoO personally. It’s a crap card unless you can unite it (which we might be able to do) and even then it has no real function on this board yet. I’m sure it will come in handy eventually, but it might drag us down for a bit. I could go either way on this decision though.
I think it’s a tough decision for both sides at this point.

Well, that worked out about as well as it could for us. Dave’s Templar is currently neutered without a Construct to pair with and we’re quite happy to have no new heroes fall, especially no Lifebound that might synergize with what we expect will be Dave’s Cetra purchase upcoming.
Assuming AnnieBanannie (whoever that one belongs to deserves +! Internets Points for being clever!) takes the Cetra and we can get the Voidforge Paladin then we might just be right back in business. Cetra is a Wicked Bitch to hold off…but it can be done if we get a couple of more fortunate draw/drops.
If we manage to get DofO synergized into a 5-point killer we might be in even better shape. Enough good things could still reasonably happen to make us competitive.
