Haha, I know the feeling. I still under-value it because I never really know how to manage the center optimally. But when I use it right, I always want to fist pump and yell “in your face!” at my opponent.

Sometimes I get confused.
I just played a turn where Emri, Soul-slayer was on the board, and I could only muster 7 runes, and I could banish something with Elemental Adept. It hurts to be close but not close enough, so I banished Emri to deny a strong card to my opponent. Then I took Personal Wormhole, and defeated Cackling Jackal, and I realized the Jackal could give me 1 more rune, so I could have taken Emri! What was I thinking!
Sounds dumb, right? Except that I’m pretty sure the Jackal wasn’t up when Emri was up. I think the missed opportunity only existed in my imagination.

I’ve definitely won two, and you won the one we just finished. I don’t remember if you won another before that. Sorry, I’m not used to the new format yet, and my habit had always been to save the results when I won, but not bother for losses because the opponent would post them. That obviously doesn’t work in a best-of-X series.

Also, I’ve been unable to add any new friends through the new system for those who weren’t around when I was playing before. I’ve tried with ColonelT, GusSmed, and marvxxl34, and it always comes back with “user not found in our database”.
So I couldn’t remember if our first game was just a funzie or for the tourney. Since it counts, you can claim the point and the game I just won can be a funzie.
Or, we can be 2-2 and play one more to do a best of five? :) Or a best of 7.
