opk, you sound so down. Would you rather have his deck than ours at this point?

I thought I would share with you all a little equation that I use in order to know if I should be feeling down.

A = Number of banishing cards I have - Number of banishing cards opponent has
B = Number of draw cards I have - Number of draw cards opponent has
C = Round number
D = Star points I have - Star points opponent has
E = Number of original deck cards I have - Number of original deck cards opponent has
F = 1 if I am wearing pants, 0 if not

X = log(log(D)^C) sqrt(A^2 + B^2) int(F + E/47)

Reaction

X is less than 40: Things are groovy
X is greater than or equal to 40: FUCK THIS STUPID LUCK-FILLED GODDAMN SHIT GAME

Right now we’re sitting at X = 28, so relax, man! Interesting side note: the coefficient 47 used to be 48 before mctwitch defeated me 10-2 in our best of 19.

Hah!

I’d rather have my Alternate Reality deck with a few less Enlightened but fewer Apprentices and no Deathsworn & MOAR RED.

SOLVE FOR PANTS

NixxteR defeats ddtibbs

Someone has forgotten that Elder Skeptic requires you to discard a card. Drawing two apprentices still means we have only 4. We can’t afford to buy both the GoS and the Askara of Fate with runes.

Use Stone Circle Elder to capture the Askara of Fate
Use Elder Skeptic to draw the Askara. Discard the Heavy Infantry or Apprentice.
Banish the Lunar Stag. Unless the replacement for Askara of Fate is even scarier, this may require a pause.

Banishing either monster is a bad idea. We banished Nemesis because it gave us points. Askara of Fate doesn’t reward us for that. The Stag is the prime target right now, since it’s slightly more beneficial to Jakeb, and we don’t particularly want it. However, we could uncover something we want to banish more.

Duh, PANTS == 0.
Always.

It is 2-2 for playing the Skeptic and taking the Askara, so I will break the tie. I’m going to use the SCE to claim the Askara!

I played the Askara. I think we should banish the 4 pt monster. I would hate to see Belthar kill it. Any quick thoughts before I do?

Your evidence is compelling as to the number of apprenti we will have. I often have issues with incontrovertible reality.
Buy the guardian leaving hand of APP, APP, Elder, Elder.
Play the blue Elder replacing it with either APP or HI. Hand is now Elder (green), 3 APP or Elder (green), 2 APP, HI.
The goal is many HI next turn
IF 3 APP:
----Play Elder (green) put new HI on top of old HI in pile
----Buy HI for discard pile
IF 2 APP:
----Play Elder (green) put Askara on top of pile
----Buy HI for discard pile
----Kill cultist

Holy shit. I leave for a day and this thread advances ten pages!

Meh, you didn’t miss much…

Opk, I played. :(

Sinnick, help us out! :)

Gonna banish the monster cuz it seems obvious.

Banish the Doom Weeper. I agree, seems like the best target.

Can’t a guy eat some dinner without this thing completely coming apart?

Banish Doom, Discard APP. Buy HI and GoS. Kill cultist.
Why do you keep doing things out of order? And all the wrong decisions?

Now it’s the other way! The Askara of Fate doesn’t require a discard. All those Apprentices are ours to keep. Unfortunately, we also handed Jakeb a card.

Gawd this is complicated when you don’t do what you’re supposed to.

Banish the 4monster. Buy two HI. Kill Cultist.

Ooooooh! Pausing for comment. Was aiming for two HI but damn. Gotta take that saucy mama right?

See, “controlling the middle” is a two edged sword. We’d much rather have the monsters back out there. Especially Nemesis. Now we have to take the 4Green and we don’t want it.

Those were good cards that played into our plan. Now it’s worse.

Your fixation with heavy infantry is unhealthy.

I’d take the dandelion witch. Little downside, since she’s no deck clutter

+1.

Buy the Dandelion Hotty.
