Yeah, it’s a null. It’s pretty much Seer of the Forked Path, only you pay 2 extra Runes for 2 extra Honor.
The Fate effect is nasty, though, since often you’ll get the extra card at the end of your turn, when it’s neigh useless, and your opponent gets it at the start of his turn, when it’s most useful.

Is it a good movie?
I added it to my Netflix queue. Which practically guarantees I’ll never watch it.

It is the quintessential spaghetti western, Sergio Leone at his best. Music by Ennio Morricone. A cast of everyone. Except Eastwood - squinting duties taken on and handled admirably by Fonda, Bronson, Robards. Even some bad dubbing of Italian actors, just for authenticity’s sake. Great film.

J used Akam to buy the Autobuilder and also took a Mystic and the Grease Monk. Our turn! I’ll play the Witch first.

Our four draw cards are 2 Apps, 1 HI, 1 Askara (draw two and banish). 50% chance of a Polaris kill. Play the Minotaur?

His constructs are Everbloom and Synchronizer.

Bye Bye Minotaur!
Bye Bye Deathsworn
Bye Bye two APPs in our discard pile

Concur.

Play the Minotaur. I don’t like it, I’d rather keep it for a situation where we needed just 1 more Rune, but we’re behind and we need to take chances. Plus moving along through the deck helps a little bit.

If we draw Askara of Fate, banish the Cog Maw. No targets for that Autobuilder for you, big boy.

Banish the Deathsworn to kill 2 Apprentices in the discard.

Yup, yup, yup.

No argument here.

Agree with Gus

Luck shone on us and I drew a HI. Killed the Polaris and knocked out both of his constructs!

Quick poll: buy the Elder Skeptic or what?

Well, we have plenty of crap cards to discard when we use it
Maybe keep it out there since he doesn’t want it? Take a Mystic?

I also banished 2 apps and the warrior. Our deck:

1 Eternal Askara
2 Askaras of Fate
1 Elder Skeptic
1 Stone Circle Elder
1 Dandelion Witch
2 Mystics
4 Heavy Infantry
5 Apprentices

I think I would prefer the Elder Skeptic to anything else, but I would barf if we revealed a juicy monster.

opk, he doesn’t want it because he just shuffled?

I think I’d buy the skeptic. We’re coming dangerously close to just cycling our whole deck, but having nothing to cycle_to_, but I think we can take one more.

Buy the Elder Skeptic. Hand re-arrangement is particularly useful when there are no monsters on the board. Our deck is small enough that purchases are still useful rather than just points, though it’s getting late in the game.

Dave, this fear of revealing cards for your opponent has got to stop. See an Ascension therapist or something!

I fear it! All the time!

ERMEHGERD

I did what you guys said but he was there watching me

Oh crap. Single most powerful card for a green-heavy deck. +1 Rune per green card, and all the honor you can buy.

On the positive side, if he can’t buy it, we have the Askara of Fate. That’s our strength, he’s got just the one turn to buy it before we burn it.

He used the genie and a stag and two apps to take the Cog Maw, then killed a fanatic with a militia and a heavy.

Play the Askara or the Elder first?

If we Stone Circle the Eternal Askara, we can draw it with the other Askara, and banish both constructs. Or should we take a stab at the Socket Altar ourselves?

I think we are down by like 10-15 points, and probably should take the shot, using the Elder to put a Mystic on our deck, and then drawing two.

SCE get three stars

Banish the World tree. The only expensive SCE target is the Eternal Askara, there are no monsters to banish, and we have plenty of banishing power anyway.

We may well take it anyway, but we don’t really want it right away.
