I’m not overly concerned about Sadranis. He’d need to put everything into getting him, so even pulling from the void, he doesn’t have much to work with (unlikely to get more than 3 attack). The only thing I’d be concerned about is if there’s a Sordid Asp in the void, which I don’t think there is.

Now that it’s clear we lost (to me it is) I’d like to point out how games with 2&3&4 blow. We’ve had zero events. No one has taken a Fanatic. The deck is too big to feel like a coherent game. There’s still 180 cards in the deck! I’m liking purer games lately of either 1, 1&2, or 3&4. Nothing wrong with seeing 4 Growmites in a game in my book.

I’m not sure about “feeling like a coherent game,” but the point about Fanatics not seeing any use is a good one. I’m not a huge fan of the events, but they do enable Fanatics, which make those hands where chance sticks you with 3+ power and no targets much more interesting. Ogo Rising is about the right level of Event for me, much more interesting that the passive ones like Hedron Rising, and you can use multiple fanatics, but not so overwhelming as Arha Rising or Moment of Clarity.

The Great Eclipse is one of those where multiple Fanatics aren’t of much use, which is why I didn’t mention it. I can see how sometimes you might want to use it to stack a non-green as both we and Jakeb did this game, but somehow in my actual games that’s never been an option. It seems like I always end up using the Fanatics for Unite, and effect I get for free with Ogo Rising.

I took the Shaman after discarding an app, and a Nothing Man showed up. Perfect! I killed it with HI, leaving 1 point on the board.

I think our next turn will be boss. Let’s just end turn without playing either of our other cards?
