I should probably have said “might even”, i.e. If you happen to cycle your deck, the enlightened card you just bought has a chance to come up. But, since you bought a bunch of enlightened cards recently, if any of them come up, there’s a good chance of extending your streak. If your deck and discard are totally empty, it’s guaranteed, but that’s a long shot.
Also, remember that some enlightened cards have an “if current event is enlightened, draw extra card” effect (e.g. banishing mushroom), so that adds to the opportunities.

Might be easier for keeping track, especially since about a third of the people are [1]s anyway. But this format might have solved other problems that I’ve forgotten.
People can always drop out from the league when they need a break, knowing that they can jump back in the next month or whenever they feel recharged. Dave’s nice like that. :)
However, I’ve been thinking we might want to do a dedicated playoff thread, since they almost always go well into the next month. I know that would mean four separate Ascension threads (League, Playoff, Exhibition, General Discussion), but that’s still a lot less than when we were doing a new league thread each month.
Oh also, Dave, were the Horse show and convention different things? Or were you at a horse convention? In which case: awesome :)

I don’t mind the playoffs mixing with the normal league. It’s super easy to update if they’re all in one thread.
The conference was for math and the horse show was for dressage. Totally separate, although I did meet a dressage rider at the conference and a math teacher at the show!
Hmm, there still are quite a few people in the league even after I culled the list a bit. Might have to stick with two groups…

The 2 divisions thing, I think that was for Dave to make it easier for him to track the results! The [3] thing makes it that much easier for him as well. Mr. Perkins will have no further comment at this time.

I’ll switch back down to [1] as well for next month. I’ve switched over to a Nexus 7 as my daily-use tablet, so won’t be able to play real-time or check throughout the day anymore.
August begins!
I ranked everyone from last month into one list, then went every-other-person to sort us into the two groups you see here. The Mechanical Askara have 10 playoff appearances (since May) and The Elder Growmites have 8, so that’s pretty balanced.
I will keep everyone at [1] game unless you squawk. (I’ve squawked at myself already, as you see.)
