We both went for points early, me using Treasures of the Study, you with a couple Snake Shamans. In this case Treasures won out, good game.

Just trying to get in your HEAD. Game 1 of the BoojAT finals started poorly, as B bought a Reactor Monk and I was left with a Mystic. Board featured a Voidthirster, sexy Emri, sexy Witch (draw a card and score two sparkles), and a Shade (draw, banish), sexy Sabre. Really didnt want B to get the Voidthirster, so was very pleased that I took a Mystic like a dumbass rather than the Shade. He left it for me, and then on turn 3 I drew four apps and the Shade, drawing a Mystic with the Shade, banishing the Voidthirster, and taking Sabre. What luck!

On his next turn, B took three culling cards. In one turn! Luck back in balance.

Game 1, my banishing turned out to be enough of an edge to take the game 67-62. AT followed up Sabre with Muramasa, but there were enough construct killers on the board that I was able to neutralize it, and I drew the Tablet of Time’s Dawn just in time to snap up those few extra points.

Game 2 looks to be the reverse so far, as AT got back-to-back deathsworn warriors, as well as a big edge in drawing.

Game 2 of the finals: Boojum 86 > AT 53.

We were playing CotG + IH, and it was a battle of old vs. new, as AT won the early races to the Ascetic of the Lidless Eye and Flytrap Witch, but I answered with an early Belthar, who paid off in spades throughout the game. That pattern continued, as his final deck was almost all old-school, with a nice retro lifebound collection, but one IH card. Meanwhile, I had a mishmash of a little of everything, but plenty of power and bonus runes from Belthar let me stay even in visible points while picking up a few mechana as well. Things stayed pretty even through most of the game, but the coup de grace came in my final turn. The Avatar was on the board and I had enough power to kill it, but nothing worth more than 2 honor to take with it. Before killing it, I bought a 2-cost hero… and flipped up the Hedron Cannon. AT didn’t even bother playing his final turn.

Good wrap ups! I had game 1 if you hadn’t drawn the Time machine on your last turn. Game 2 was the Belthar show. I could have killed the avatar on my final turn, which I didn’t bother to take. Not sure if it would have mattered, but I think it would have. Appropriate that that bastard Belthar was in your last hand, accompanied by like three heavies.

McTwitch78 over Pacman I forget I’m only a one in the tourney, but with all of this other craziness I guess it’ll even out. My red steam roll luckily didn’t hit any bumps and nothing worthwhile rune wise stayed on the board.
