No, that was Tyjenks. The Snake Shaman and the World Tree, beating me into a pulp in the Circle. Fortunately that’s not over. I mean yes, that game is over, but there’s another round after this.
Anyway, the Snake Shaman gives you Honor. Our Honor scores were within a few points of each other, 30ish each. This particular victory wasn’t about the Shaman, it was about the value of the 100 cards he bought on his last turn.
In other news, Rise of the Vigil is finally available in the Netherlands. Now, although i barely play the physical game anymore, i’m still itching to get it as new cards are always fun.
However, i’ve heard stories of the luckfactor getting completely out of hand in this expansion. Could some of you share some experience with this expansion?

It’s a must buy because Ascension. But by itself it’s also a good game. Yes, there’s a bit more luck. In most games it’s almost unnecessary to get Mystic or HI at all. It’s possible to have even more giant hands, but its not unbalanced.
I don’t think it’s as much of a luck factor as it is, “make sure ti collect those energy shards because, oh they will add up for sure later in the game”. I know one common mistake ppl make is to put all 60 energy shards that comes wih the game into the center deck when they play with RoV only, when they are supposed to use only 30.
I absolutely heart Rise of Vigil, it’s more fun than flying around on a magical unicorn. :D

It’s randomized, although I’m not sure if there’s a fate less nasty than… well, yes, I guess a mctwitch/Pacman sandwich is pretty horrifying!
Uggggghhhh, You can probably just mark down another win for Tyjenks in the circle. He has, I believe, 10 guaranteed might / turn (Both Edges, Beast Staff, Canopic Jar). I have a Recyclicrab.
