That was one tense ending! Could easily have gone either way. I owe my victory to judicious use of treasures of the study and snake shaman in the early game, which I think I have literally never used effectively before.
Cub’s early Aiyana kept it close. Also, a deciding factor was probably recyclicrab, which I reclaimed in order to discard from my hand with elder skeptic on the last turn.
If I lost by one point, I would have kicked myself over banishing the death sworn warrior.

delirium got some early lifebound synergy going, but I went points early and the game supplied me with a steady stream of monsters to kill, good game.
Bleh…came up 1 rune short on an early game Emri with nothing else good to buy. Was banking on the low power monster thing being an early game phase and diversified between runes and power. It became clear fairly early in the game that the low cost monsters were going to continue for an extended period, and I had already bloated my deck beyond use by the time the monsters dried up. I may have been able to save my game if I got that banishing mushroom out of your hands, but you wisely used your cackling jagoff to snatch it first.

I usually finish such games while folding laundry or doing the dishes or cooking.

Hoooo man I was on the edge of my seat for that one. I had OK green sync going, but it wasn’t totally clicking for me since I wasn’t able to cull my deck at all. Monster heavy board with an event that wouldn’t let me banish monsters didn’t help either, but I was able to keep up in points thanks in part to double spider witch. I really didn’t know which way that game was going to go and I wasn’t confident when I clicked the button to end the game, but I managed to squeak it out by a few points. Good game!
After several games, I have come to this conclusion:
4 deck games suck. It seems like they’re surprisingly likely to turn into monster clogged slugfests, and there’s too little synergy between the cards. Growmites for example become completely boring 2 honor monsters, your absolute last pick.
