pacman over Vesper

Dreamer’s glass let me build an insurmountable card point edge, good game.

Here’s some results… I think I have one more pending on my iPad I didn’t log yet:
Vesper > Scottdobros 75-61
Vesper > josemas99 72-70

Missed opportunity to tell Dave he’s right when he says you’re wrong, thus sending him into a logic loop.

Gus is wrong. I am in the magic loop.

Logic loop? Dave? Heh.

I could swear Gus wrote “magic” loop.

Like friendship, Logic is Magic.

Me and Ty tied 1-1. Just took Aaron in round 3. Just logging this here because I feel sure that I should have taken the Shadowcaster instead. I already regret! Sorry, future Dave!

I [heart] Shadowcaster. Aaron could pay big dividends or net you a slew of worthless fanatics. That said, I couldn’t believe you got the 7 runes. Grrr…I would have most likely done the same. There are 3 monsters out there.

I’m glad I lost, Tyjenks. I needed to learn that Aaron vs Shadow lesson!

Ha! LIAR!

Tyjenks schools AT in three heated battles.

Is that really the lesson you want to learn?

Yeah, Aaron can be kind of weak if the board has few monsters, or nothing over 4 power. If there’s a 7 or 8 power monster out there, though, he’s fantastic. Getting 7+ power in one hand can be really hard if you don’t have 2+ permanent power from constructs. Having Aaron means you always have enough to snag Akam or that Rebel Godling, both of whom are game-winning gets.

The Shadowcaster is nice, but doesn’t radically change your deck by himself. Sure, he’s a lot better than most culling cards, but he’s not particularly fast, you really need at least a couple of culling cards or a Void event to really feel the effects before the game is over. Aaron can change your deck by himself if he has targets.

Well, I took him in round 3 because I could and for no other good reason. It was dumb and I learned my lesson.

Why’d you rematch me, Tyjenks? Are there lessons that you wish to learn?

Did I? Whoops. Well, I’ll happily play out one for fun.

And as far as that play, I would have done what Dave did. I like the Shadowcaster play only if it is really early because it can begin the cycling an culling. So in round 3, I think it is a closer call rather than in round 8.

Seems like there was a 5, 4 and 3 monster. My opponent could probably handle denying those more easily than if they were all 5s and 6s. So that was another factor. Aaron could certainly cause an avalanche of good fortune, but if there is less to work with, the shadow caster can start working for you pretty quickly.

I think what you’re saying is that you want to play a best of 19 with me.
