Gus defeated Yzzi 01 in the Circle, thus living on for another day. Mostly I credit the Witches for bringing in enough points to keep me afloat, and a few Mechana to give me the advantage in deck points.

I am such an idiot.

Ogo rising was up, and I had Lionheart and Autobuilder 5.0 in my hand. I play Autobuilder 5.0 first, since I have Personal Wormhole in play, and no cards in my draw pile. If I don’t play Autobuilder first, I won’t be able to banish a card from my discard.

I need to play some card other than Lionheart next, because otherwise I won’t get the Unite ability to draw a card. So what do I play next? Lionheart.

I think that at some level, I was thinking “I’ve played a card already, so I’ll get Unite,” but failed to register that my first card was a construct, and not affected by Ogo Rising. Idiot.

I’ll admit almost anything in public. It’s not that I have no shame; I feel considerable shame for that play. I think I’ve learned that my dumb moves will become public sooner or later, so my only choice is to get ahead of the story and acknowledge right away that it was stupid, before someone else tells the story.

I’m sure Vesper was going to post at any moment that his idiot opponent played Lionheart as his first card.

I do that all the time. My brain gets ahead of the actual game, so I start thinking about the 2nd half of my turn, and just assume the first part is done already. The longer I’m sitting looking at my hand waiting for my opponent to finish, the more likely that I’ll go from “ok, play app to activate Lionheart, then if I draw X…”, to “play Lionheart, draw X…”.

My records for August show losses to Fuzzslug and McTwitch that they haven’t reported. ScottAGibson doesn’t show up on my friend list - I’m not sure about his current ID. The game with Vesper is progressing, but slowly.
