delirium over GusSmedstad - Game 2 was pretty much nothing but monsters - grabbed a Penumbral Edge early and then nearly blew it loading up on mystics to try (and ultimately fail) to get Big Emri early while Gus killed stuff and built up an honor lead.
Yeah, I’ve gotten burned in the past trying to go all power and then have nothing left in the center after the initial rush, but this time they just kept coming. I need to get better at reading the center and going with a strategy.
Ah, promo cards. So wacky.
Jebus god that’s insane. Which is why I said Ghost Cetra was nutty overpowered and of course highly random since it depends on the center.
I still haven’t played that turn. I like making Mark cry, but this is egregious. And we are playing a series of 20 games, keeping track of overall point diff. He is up 6 right now, but how much will I be up after this farce?

I accidentally hit rematch as soon as the end game screen came up on our just finished match, so I didn’t even get to see the score/winner. So reporting the result (for the circle of souls) is all up to you! I’m sure you can be trusted ;-)

Think it was 60-56. That tree showing up just a bit earlier would have been appreciated :-)
Also, i think i should have taken That Snake Shaman, but i gambled for more mechana’s showing up and bought an additionel mystic instead.

Lost again to Ironcub in the best-of-19 series. I distinctly remember telling him not to bring the leprechaun.
I grabbed that leprachaun out of desperation in that 60-59 game where I eked out a win in a game I didn’t think I had much of a chance. If you won that one, you’d have had 4 straight wins and all the momentum for sure. Damn, that was a great series, Gus! The first 10 games, most of them were complete nail biters.

The Small World 2 league is up!
Lots of Ascension players appear to be loving Small World 2, so I thought I’d post this here.
Dave can you post the standings for september? I think i have to enter lots of results (i think(, but don;t really know what i already reported.
Will do as soon as I can! I don’t mind if you just report everything you’ve got, either. I can just skip the ones that I’ve already entered.

I have some more promos wackiness. I played somebody in the 10-minute lobby and got an early Aaron. Ender of Days showed up pretty soon after that.
I did not realize this but I assumed before that Ender of Days was supposed to give you all the remaining honour in the pool. Nope, when they say “remove”, they mean “get all those damn honour tokens off the table”.
That’s exactly what I expected it to do. The wording seems precise, it’s saying the game ends via normal means once the Ender of Days dies, which makes sense given the name. Why you’d think you got all the discarded honor, I don’t know, the text doesn’t support that interpretation.
The upshot is that you don’t want to kill the Ender if you’re so far behind that the 10 honor won’t let you win the game. Since we have lots of games with 20 point differentials, and a few painful ones with 50+, it’s very plausible that you could be in that situation. It’s another reason to dislike the card, it rewards the player who is already winning.
Well, in iron’s defense, he is dumb as shit.
