A bunch of big rune cards on the board early (Aaron, Orb of Nyx, maybe Soul Marshall?), and despite Justin going more rune focused I got both Aaron and the orb thanks to Akam. Add in a Treasures of the Study, and a slightly ridiculous last turn fueled by the Orb of Nyx, and things got a little out of hand ;). I think I ended up winning points by 55-7. Thanks for hanging in there and taking it Justin :)

Gus defeated Emos in the Circle. A bit of green helped along by an army (3) of Elder Skeptics. I’m not usually a fan of the Granger, since all too often it’s a Lifebound Initiate, but get enough hand-sorting in there and it becomes a lot easier to match it with other greens.

Gah! Sorry Dave, could have sworn I included the scores, but apparently that was all in my head. You know these “playoffs” are so new to me ;-)

Last game was very close, despite your complaints about the opening turn (also I only banished two cards, not three. When I bought the Abolisher, there was nothing left to toss from the void event). I really should have banished Kythis in the last game, but I decided to get cute and banish a lower power monster, figuring you weren’t likely to hit 8. So of course you got eight power the very next turn, and that extra card (Dhartha first turn!) kept things close despite my slim deck advantage. Good games!
