I have a small suggestion for the app, and I thought this thread might be the best spot.
In the Create Game menu, it would be great to see an option for which player takes the first turn. For a 2-player game, the options could be set by default to Random, but could also be available as P1 or P2.
This would help a lot in tournaments, to allow a best-of series to be fairer for the two opponents. It’s a source of fierce debate, but the various forums that I frequent are generally in agreement that the first player has a slight advantage. One forum even did a full-scale experiment on it (though it’s kind of impossible to control for all the factors)!
I did notice that the latest update now has notifications for when a game has ended, and I had been asking about that one for awhile, so I do thank you guys for that! This feature would certainly be another welcome addition!
We did our own experiment and the result was that the turn order does not matter. Our experiment was also amazing and the final word on the subject.
As the world authority on Ascension currently sitting on my chair, I would rather go second any day of the week other than Sundays.
