My game with Jay is so nutty that we just both had a round where we had 10 runes and we both PASSED on the Orb. Absolutely NUTS!

Also: Tyjenks, if there’d been any chance at all for you to get rid of that Axe, I think the game would have gone your way instead. But I don’t think there was ever a single construct-banishing monster! I think I held my breath the whole game, especially when you took PRIME.
Also: wilykat, our game 1 one-pointer was top ten weird in my Ascension history. You had Big Emri leading a freaky army of powerful misfits, and I had the World Tree backed by two Snake Shamans, which I planted squarely on the honor pile, Hoovering as many points as I could each turn, only occasionally pausing to take a random mechana construct. I doubt that I bought more than a half dozen cards the whole game. Your deck was fearsome by the end.
Really enjoyed both games, especially as they were live.

I just banostriched my pants. AT > wilykat 68-67 and 84-84. Good LORD. Game two was on fire as hard as game 1 (described upthread) was bizarre. I lose game two if Kythis doesn’t pop in to say hello to Aaron on my very last hand.

Yes! I’m back to my traditional “dominate the regular season, lose badly in the tournament” form!
Seriously, though, I can’t explain it. I’m just getting lucky cards this month.
Case in point, my game with Annie Peeks had me miscounting my rune cards, so I missed out on buying Sadranis - AP bought it on the next turn. This led to AP killing Avatar out of the void on her last turn, and using it to acquire an 8-rune Mechana Construct. And yet I still won that game, when if there had been any justice I would’ve lost badly due to my mistake.
On the flip side, I actually thought I played quite well in all of my circle games (certainly no crippling errors) and yet I was crushed in nearly every single one (and my one win was only like 2 points). This game makes absolutely zero sense to me.

Have anyone ever had one of those streaks in which you can’t win a game to save your life? And in each of those losing efforts, your opponent always (at least it seems like always) acquires/defeats the card you finally had enough runes/power for, leaving a worthless card (for your deck) in its wake? If so, welcome to my world! Won’t you stay awhile and listen to my whining…?

No, never happens to me. Whenever that seems like it’s going to happen a unicorn runs across the screen and farts a rainbow and everything is fixed. Same thing in dice games. Guess I’m just special. ;-)
