Very good games! In each one, I did something forehead-slappingly dumb, and I bet you noticed. Like, in game three, near the end, I meant to kill a fanatic so that I could banish a card from my discard pile, so I played my heavy infantry, killed a cultist, and then played my Hoarding Whelp for 1 power, which can kill nothing. In my defense, I am an idiot. :) Don’t think any of my mistakes like that mattered in the final tally, though. Thankfully! I always seem to freak out somehow when I play you.

Check out this madness. Annie sent me screenshots of a game in which the deck points had been miscalculated. I immediately found my own example. Here is delirium’s deck at the end of our game:
Delirium’s deck has 30 points in it, and he was credited with 29. Annie saw the same thing happen in her finals game with Sinnick. Her deck was worth 2 more points than she was awarded.
This is, of course, nuts!
Based on this evidence of malfeasance, I have retabulated all previous playoffs/finals, and it turns out that I would have won ten more finals. I’ll update the hall of fame pronto.

Turns out I was stiffed a point just like delirium was above, and because I went last, I would have tied Annie and won the match, and not been eliminated from the Pocket Tactics forum. In fact, JHTaube was also stiffed a point.
MORAL OF THE STORY: if the game is close, count your deck points!
Annie’s theory: Three-point Elemental cards (like Raj and the Adept) are being scored as two points. In the 3p game, I had Raj and JHTaube had an Adept. This theory is borne out in the delirium game I posted just above.
Update: Scratch that theory. Annie found another game with a scoring error that shoots that theory down.

Wow…this is a huge deal. I would have won like ALL my games ever.
Seriously though, this is a problem and should probably be report to Playdeck even if they are going to lose the game license in the near future.

No wonder I’ve been losing so much. This explains a lot. I went back through some of mine and it turns out I’m missing like forty points per game that I think I deserve.
Edit>> after running the maths it wouldn’t have helped my record that much… :-(

I think the solution is for me to send AT a game right now and run some tests!
Oh man. My first game with Wilykat / Padingtun went with him (her?) buying Raj very early, and then running Raj -> Aaron -> Rebel Godling -> Akam the Genie. Grrr.

Better count your scores at the end, with Raj in the mix! He’s a SUSPECT.
Lost the second game as well, by 1 point. My slump continues! Good thing we’re not tracking ELO scores, mine would be plumeting.
