You’re lucky to have avoided me last night. I was a madman.
You know the Douglas Adams story about the cookies? I had one of those last night with Dave in a real time game. I was waiting for him to take his turn, and waiting, and waiting, and he just sat there. Eventually he left. So I shut down Ascension and it had a little (1) turn waiting notification. I opened it up, and it was the game we were playing. Apparently it had been my turn all along.
What I don’t understand is how I got out of sync mentally. I could have sworn I finished my turn and it was his.
I was wondering why you were just waiting! Ha…
Eventually I figured that you were doing some complicated ciphering that spelled my doom, so I fled in fear.
This game, by the way, is one of my favorites ever. It’s so close and our decks are so badass and you’re such a great player! If I win, I am going to be so proud.
Speaking of, AT > wilykat last night. Game 2 still smells like the butt I pulled it out of.
Also, ddtibbs had a crazy good opening 8 rounds and I forfeited game one of the finals. The finals! That’s how gruesome it was getting. So everyone can cheer and high five and everything, because he is winning. And I can’t wait to win the next two and rub your faces in it.

Our decks are so badass? Who is it that has 6 constructs in play, including an Axe and Serpentcall? The only way I’ll pull this out is if I manage to run the deck out of Honor in a hurry. What I really expect is a lopsided victory in your favor.

iron over tecwrtr for the league with a final score of 99-99, damnnn. That game was so intense, I needed ten hours of sleep after to recover!
I hadn’t realized there was a new promo pack.
I bought it, but I don’t think I want to play with it! Miles seems OK, but Control Room and Soul Collector are ridiculous. Control Room far outstrips Grand Design for fewer runes, and Soul Collector is more powerful than Muramasa and cheaper. Lunar Staff isn’t as bad as it looks since it requires a hand with a lot of runes and power to be effective.

Gus defeated Pacman in a very close series. The final tiebreaker was 67-64. He had lots of early breaks with Moment of Clarity and appropriate blue cards (Skeptics, Tower Askara) while I managed to snag the Orb of Nix early enough to make a difference.
