Congrats on the December championship Ironcub!

I think what really killed me in the first game was the event that blocks banishing of monsters. That blocked me from points with the Eternal Askara twice, and also meant I couldn’t banish the two Sordid Asps that let you catch up to my early points lead. That occurrence probably caused a 15+ point swing! and would have let me end things a turn or two earlier as well.

Then in the second game you got to start Nihilmancer/Tower Askara, and I was always going to be behind the 8-ball after that. Too much to hope you wouldn’t take advantage of what the game gives you!

Thanks Pacman. I remember the Asps, did you have a chance to defeat one but you defeated the Gorph instead? I know you like the Eternal Askara, it’s annoying when you can’t use it, but you did banish Serpentcall with it!

My peeve against SoS is all the powerful 5-rune cards available for the first and second round, like the Glass and Shadowcaster and Tower Askara. That game, I was lucky to benefit from the opening draw.

Yeah, I had intended to banish one of the Asps with the Gorph, forgetting I couldn’t.

I think all those 5 rune cards are nice, but the only one that really comes close to being too strong (IMHO) is Dreamer’s Glass, and that is highly dependent on the monsters that come up. The others are nice, but not game decides on their own. Any 5 rune card has to be fairly decent to justify the cost.

I’ve been a bit lax in visiting and keeping up. There are reasons, oh are there reasons…
I kind of assumed that the assistant to the regional manager of opk enterprises (annie) would keep me abreast of any necessary dealings. Turns out not so much.

Old timers may remember that delirium asked for a best of 50 a while back, and I took him up on it. We are at 24-24! At one point, I won 8 or 9 in a row, but he has had a pair of sweet 8-2 and 9-2 type runs. It’s down to a best of three now.

When it ends, I’m going to award the unicorn but change how they work. From now on, there will be a single unicorn representing each kind of series, and only one person can hold it at a time.

And now it’s 25-25. It all comes down to a final game with decks 3 and 4! (I left out the promo decks because Cetra Ogo was such a monster in game 50.)
