The one thing you would have to do, Dave, is be strict on the one-week periods. Otherwise, as Gus has pointed out, we would always be at the mercy of the slowest player.

A sequence from my game with annie:

Honey Siren comes out to the center board letting me put a card on the top of my deck. Seeing a green event and lots of good <=5 costs, I choose the Stone Circle Elder. Annie takes her turn, green event gets replaced with a blue event. A little disappointed, I see the opportunity to put an Elemental Adept on top of my deck for a double card draw next turn. Nemesis replaces the banishing mushroom and blue event goes bye bye. :(

The one scenario you would often run into is having only 1 or 2 players left in a “Circle level”. In that case, I would propose that;

with 2 players only in a “Circle level”, those 2 play a best-of-3 series during the week to see who goes up/down a level and who stays at the level,

with 1 player only in a “Circle level”, that person sits that week, lonely, looking desperately for games in the online lobby :)

I guess I will. Circle-format games means fewer games and delays, but it’s not like I’d be playing otherwise. I’ve lost my taste for random games without a ladder or something to track overall progress.

Maybe we should have a “must play with all 4 promo packs” event.

Rules will be something like this:

o Three day timers
o Six days and round ends with unfinished games as double forfeits
o Win both games and ascend a level
o Lose both games and descend a level
o Every eight rounds the top two levels enter a playoffs
o Anyone at a level alone joins the next level up (or down if need be)
o If just two people at a level, they play best of three
