There’s nothing quite as satisfying as Adayu-ing the Avatar to take Samael and then Twofold Askara-ing Adayu to take Xeron and steal the Hedron Cannon. Of course, I only actually stole a Heavy Infantry, but the satisfaction is nearly the same.
And I think the 500-part turn is going to become fairly common in IH with all the potential combos. It was the only thing that redeemed that game, and I still lost. :)

IH is definitely twisting my brain into the shape of a pretzel. And it hurts!
I really like IH so far, even if I’m losing more games than I win. I feel like it has made SoS the game it was always meant to be, but wasn’t quite there.
Yeah, IH and SoS is a great combination. I think it is probably the best Ascension combo I’ve played because it seems like there are lots of strong strategy options available. Mechana Constructs can get great cycling going with the right cards, Power is strong because of the Fanatic event powers and some crazy high-end monsters, and there seem to be more banishing and +drawing opportunities if you want to go cycle crazy. There also seem to be a sufficient amount of Rune cards that give you power, and power cards that give you Runes, so it is viable to specialize heavily in one type. I was wary about the Soul Gems early on, but when mixed with SoS they seem more like a wild-card option that you can “roll the dice on” from time to time, rather than a dominating luck factor.
I think we’re going to split into two groups again, and keep the best-of-three option open for folks. But I think I will also let people who have completely finished their group play continue to play versus people from the other group who have also completed their group play. And I think I will also invite everyone to let me know if they’d prefer to limit their play to Immortal Heroes, so that if at least one person wants Immortal Heroes in the decks, then it’s mandatory (unless the other player hasn’t purchased it yet).

(To get the two groups, I’d use the final ranking from June and simply deal out players into two groups like dealing cards.)

I’m in again as a [3], and you can put me down as an [IH] as well, I’d love for all my games to at least involve IH. My Playdek name is still ironcub14. Esp for new players, we’re gonna need their Playdek names too now, I think.
The only thing I’m not sure about is “you can keep playing players on the other group for points, if both of you have already finished all your group matches”. I like it (cuz I know I’ll probably play you all anyways :D), but I’m not sure if that would be “fair”. I like the leagues to be so that everybody gets the same number of possible matches. Just putting my little two cents!
Also, Dave, y u no let me Black Watch Elite at all this month?! I think our best-of-19 series will be coming to a quick end today lol.

Splitting would be fine with me, and I think an [IH] tag indicating willingness to play Immortal Heroes would suffice. Otherwise, non-IH will never be able to play IH.
I’m up for whatever format works for you Dave. You can put me down for [3] and [IH] as well (although ideally I would like IH plus one other set, preferably SoS).

I would definitely bet that SB would have a SoS+IH tourney sometime soon, so most of my challenges will be for those two as well :)
Playing IH only would be like playing RotF by itself; we’d see a lot of the same cards over and over again.
