CHICAGO - Vowing to continue speaking his mind, ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Sunday launched a Web site that catalogues his scores of public appearances and allows for public feedback.

“Since his controversial ousting from office, Rod Blagojevich has refused to be silent,” an introduction on www.GovernorRod.com reads. “In the meantime, he’s not holding back. He’s not playing politics or playing nice. He’s simply speaking his mind and telling the truth!”

I looked through the site, and it’s just glorious. The man has absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever.

He made history in August 2009 when he became the first former elected official still facing charges to be named host of his own radio show. The two-hour program airs on WLS radio in Chicago.

That’s, uh, quite the achievement there.

The former governor is passionate about many issues. It just burns him to see politicians mislead or lie to the American public. And he loves to call them out whether it’s in Illinois or in Washington.

Selling government to the highest bidder: apparently the friggin’ American way.

The best part of the whole thing is knowing that a publicist presented this to Blagojevich and he thought the whole thing was just awesome.
