You’re right, I was totally off base. What I really meant is that Miss Piggy is probably a playable character.
I thought the pig’s mask marketing was very cool. I’ve never seen so much alternate art for other games being changed like that. It was an interesting way to leverage the whole Ubisoft catalog to raise awareness for a new game.
Or, looked at another way, it’s yet another instance of advertising creeping into spaces which used to be advertising free.

By the way – I figured this out. Turns out I needed to replace the batteries in my Bluetooth wireless controller (Xbox One Wireless). When the BT connection was weakening and or dropping packets (if that’s a thing) then AC:Odyssey would completely lock up and never recover. I figured this out when something similar happened in AC: Valhalla and the Ubisoft overlay popped up to tell me that the controller had lost connection, in spite of the fact that the controller and Windows seemed to think that it was still connected.
That’s kind of weird, why would the controller connection affect the frame rate? You either have control of your character or you don’t and a pop up always comes up letting you know).
I know MSFS hates it when a controller disconnects or reconnects - long freezes, sometimes crashes - so doesn’t seem implausible to me.
You may want to try the Xbox USB wireless receiver instead of Bluetooth. It uses a different protocol than Bluetooth that’s gaming specific rather than generic. It also allows firmware upgrades wirelessly. And a single one (of the newest model) supports four controllers simultaneously.

I already have that, but it’s on my desktop. Besides the issue is the controller falling asleep. It’s still an issue wired. May well help in AC of course.
My PC sound always cuts out for 20s when I wake my wireless gamepad. Annoying when it goes to sleep after a while mid game.

The framerate would drop to 0.1 frames/second so it became virtually impossible to determine if the controller actually was working. For all I know it is Windows freaking out and AC:O suffering because of it. Nevertheless, the problem completely disappeared after replacing the batteries.

In AC Valhalla, I use controller on the PC, but if I touch the mouse, the sound cuts out and the game acts up - so, something is happening when the controller isn’t doing what the game expects it to.

In AC Valhalla, if I touch the ALT key, my electricity goes out. (Haha, sounds like strange stuff happening with controllers and AC).
I should have gone to bed hours ago, but I thought “I’ll play some Odyssey while I wait for Cyberpunk next week” - terrible idea, I put two hours in and had a blast. Terrible timing, but I got some really incredible screenshots and this is running like a dream.
Ah, Kephallonia, the island everyone can’t wait to leave!
The music in Odyssey is excellent too. The music in Valhalla isn’t bad, either, but something about those strings in Odyssey sends a shiver down my spine.
LOL yeah. It was some sort of free goodie though!
I just did this today. I think it may be my favorite sidequest in any game I’ve ever played. Having an absolute blast with this after picking it up cheap during the Epic sale. About 20 hours in, now.
I just logged into the game and a slew of stuff from the Ubi shop unlocked for no discernible reason. Blind King Quest, lieutenants, ship designs, multiple gear sets, etc.
Is that supposed to happen?
