The call is coming from inside the house!

Anyway, I don’t see this as a very big deal. The only concrete benefit we got from the vetting was that it kept out robots and most marketers. But it’s not like the vetting only let cool people in, or could really stop people from making alts if they wanted to. Besides, with the REPORT feature, marketers don’t exactly last long anyway. If we get overrun, it won’t exactly be difficult to bring vetting back.

A little support would be nice, Mom.

It gets fucking old to me, and I’m just reading it, not having to deal with it.

Does anybody know where I can get some herbal viagra?

ok, that was fuckin’ funny :)

So far I’m not seeing an issue. The Minecraft threads got some forum newcomers itching to talk about the game and participate in the multiplayer server building. They seem alright.

Yeah, call me an eternal optimist (and if you knew me in real life, you would have to laugh at the idea) but some new blood could be a good thing. May not be quite the same small town or living room, but maybe we can finally do away with that tired old trope ‘The Hivemind’, whatever that is. Some new folks will be cool, some will be jerks. Just like everywhere else.

I just hope we can finally get rid of Rimbo.

Yeah, Rimbo is the real source of negative energy on this forum, not you.

Unlikely. I don’t post obviously tasteless photos or porn. I don’t use the site as a way to promote my blog or business or anything. And I don’t feel it’s my duty to be a jackass to people at every possible opportunity.

So I, for one, welcome our new posters, and I look forward to what they can contribute to the discussions.

If Matt Gallant does come back, I vote he returns as Matt Koontz.

Neither of us is the real source of negative energy on this forum. But especially not me, since I only post constructive and helpful things. Rimbo merely posts a lot. Seriously, he posts all the time. He’s probably posted ten times since I started typing this sentence. And the quality is about what you’d expect given the quantity.

Well, someone did…

Also ‘Generic Troll’. Oh, dear.

So far, after registering a new account that may or may not be one of the above, there has been no activation email. I’m assuming someone is still vetting applications, or maybe QT3’s email system sucks, or my newly created email address is refusing the email (although several other emails have gone through just fine).

Welcome to our newest member, Shorn_Balzac.

I registered Mike Gallant so nobody else would. :)

Ah, well, long as it’s in good hands then.

I always thought that the time difference between application and actual registration was rather beneficial, as it encouraged the prospective new members to lurk for a while before participating in the forum, and thus getting a better feeling for our community.

btw

Welcome to our newest member, M.J.G.

So, does Matt have a middle Name??
