These paradoxes are true, of course—when discussing bans that happened. That’s not what Adam was doing, though. He was doing exactly what the banned people did in another thread.

We could maybe make the case that this could be the place to discuss banworthy behaviour even before anyone is banned, but we have no precedent-setting ruling about this under the new moderating paradigm. As it is, I stand behind my interpretation. Anyway, even that’s not what Adam was doing.

We have been dragging our grudges from thread to thread for so long here it is very hard to let go of that disruptive and toxic habit. We’ll most definitely need several sharp reminders for The New Politeness to really sink in.
