Atheism isn’t bad, militant atheists are. Religious people aren’t bad, fundamentalists are. And the morality brigade’s weapon of choice is the pileon (a little roman tadpole used for supporting electricity lines.) Although I couldn’t tell you who is in that brigade, just that they exist and are not cool and froody.

Why can’t we all just do what Tim and his ilk approve of, civilly, so we can all discuss anything…even if it’s horrendous. That’s my goal!

I can think of multiple different ways that the QT3 forum police could have handled that particular shitfest without anyone other than the intended getting banned.
This wilful distortion that anyone who doesn’t agree that it was a mature and sensible handling of the affair must therefore support child molestation smacks of the same “So you like Saddam?”/“Why do you hate our troops?” school of argument back in 2001/2. I used to expect better of QT3
