I agree with you. I don’t think I’ve ever been happy to see someone banned, although I certainly understand the convenience of it especially with newer posters. The main reason is self-serving: I think most bans that are put in place distort behavior incentives in ways that are difficult to predict. The chaos never goes away one way or another, it just gets weird and passive-aggressive. Slow to register but difficult to get banned is my preferred environment, and it seems we have the exact opposite thing to contend with now.

Sure. You know what’s funny also? When people like me, Cory and Kalle laugh picturing her just as repeatedly and frantically pressing the Report button because someone said a bad word, we’re turning her into “one of the most reviled posters on qt3”.

jerri’s recently been the victim of a QT3 pile-on - I should know, I was part of it - so I don’t doubt she’s feeling a little under fire when Kalle posts something like he did.
