No dude I think he was just referring to this part of your post:
Because Hell if I know where you’re getting this from.

There has to be one, doesn’t there? Why not cunt?
Because platypus is clearly worse.

I wonder what would happen if Tom added a rule to change the word tapir*to the original banned word? would it create a paradox and suck QT3 screaming into the void?
Huh, wonder what happens if you make a typo in the word aoccuntant? (don’t mind me, just like fiddling with stuff to see how it works :)

Also, does the change retroactively change the word “tapir” and what happens if Tom removes the substitution rule, will the word come back or is it changed forever and ever?
When I take the substitution out, which I have every intention of doing once some of you guys grow the fuck up, the word will return. So if you’ve been playing around to see how the substitution works and you don’t want to look like a tool when the substitution is lifted, you might want to edit your posts.

We only used metonymy at my school. We couldn’t afford synecdoches.
I know this is a sensitive issue, but I’m really looking forward to seeing who was actually typing the word for the large-nosed pig-like creature.
Also, might I humbly suggest that the next substitution be capybara, my other favorite zoo animal.

I for one appreciate what you are doing Tom. Thanks.
Piglike?
Why you tapir, that’s insulting to tapirs everywhere.

Trivia question, has someone ever been banned for their posts in the banning thread?
Because that would make the circle complete.

I think the substitution should stay. It elegantly deals with the problem and makes me smile.
Plus, hey, tapirs.

I just think it’s cute because it makes me remember way back to high-school Spanish class. Tapir, spelled and pronounced the same way in that language, caught on as our favorite immature insult to each other.
Looks like Rollory is gone from the members list…
I agree. If you don’t want the word to ever be used on the forum, then why turn off the word filter? There’s something sort of weirdly passive-aggressive about telling people “I’m going to let you do this… but don’t do it.” Just cut the Gordian knot and let the tapirs roam free!
Gently touching the tapir, so to speak?
I would have hoped the whole subject had tapired off by now.
One could always add spaces between the letters - c * n t - if one really wanted to use the word tapir. I wouldn’t do that, of course.
