Um no. Thank god.

These new developments immediately made me think of this song

Shame on you Tom for trying to ruin this message of racial understanding.

I sent it in for you Tom.

Surely not a chubacabra?!

For what it’s worth: that whole incident with the picture sent me off on one of my “I hate the internet” benders where I want to stab people for not being nice to each other. It’s not even that the word is offensive (although it’s still one of the only words I won’t say), and it sure as hell isn’t “censorship.” It’s just when somebody makes a polite request not to say something, why not either just acknowledge it out of basic, common courtesy; or ignore it?

I just wanted to publicly say I thought Tom handled it perfectly, and I wish he weren’t getting so much flak for doing the right thing. People keep talking about what they can and can’t say, but nobody’s talking about what you should or shouldn’t say, just out of respect. What’s wrong with waiting until somebody proves himself to be an asshole before you start treating him like an asshole? Is everybody afraid the boards are going to lose their edge or something?

That’s what we did. Hence, treating Markell like an asshole.

Fixed.

You’re a bitter little man, Bob.

so damn close. it should have been “chick gently touches tapir”

I think the tapir has some new competition, the Visayan warty piglet.

A baby announcement came out of the Brevard Zoo this morning: Its first Visayan warty piglet was born Sept. 17.

The tiny, brown-and-white striped girl was less than a pound at birth and is eight inches long and close to two pounds now.

The zoo just received its four adult Visayan warty pigs in June. There are three females and one male, Pandan, who had the baby with mom Makina.

In a statement from Brevard Zoo, animal programs director Michelle Smurl said of the baby: “The keepers report that she is glued to the mother, and they often vocalize to each other with grunts, squeaks, and other pig-like noises. One of the keepers commented that she resembles a little melon with stripes.”

The public won’t be able to see the piglet until later in the month, zoo officials said.

Visayan warty pigs are native to six islands in the Philippines but are extinct on four of them.

I clicked on this thread thinking Sol Invictus got banned, dammit.

Sorry, I forgot about all the recent drama and should have known the masses wanted to see some blood. :)

Same.

I dunno. Does it really make sense to ban people for things they didn’t do on this forum?

A link is as good as a post to a blind tapir.

His post on QT3 wasn’t exactly the paragon of good taste either.

I assume that after Sol’s apology and the locking of the thread that the matter has been dealt with to the entity’s satisfaction and we all need to stop being such yentas.

[yenta]
That thread was locked for awhile, then unlocked long enough for Solin Victus to deliver his I-have-sinned-against-you apology, then locked again, so pretty clearly he walked through penance in cooperation with Tom. Ergo thusly concordantly therefore (I’m positive the Architect was a yenta, too) I wouldn’t expect him to join The Graphic of Woo anytime soon.
[/yenta]

Oh, I missed the apology. Guess you had to be there when the locked thread got bumped.

Edit: Oh, it never got bumped? Just had to be looking for a change in the name of the last post?

I wouldn’t take that bet. I think he’s had his second strike.
