Bar Soap and Bodywash in 2017

So with lots of stuff on the market, anyone have a favorite product they use?

I received a 4 pack of Duke Cannon Bricks of Soap this past Christmas, and I have to say every one so far has been fantastic. Currently using Smells Like Productivity. It lathers well, smells manly, and does not require a loofah. These are big bars, each seems to last about 2 months (1 shower per day).

I don’t use a bodywash.

Oatmeal soaps FTW.

Also this rich vein of madness, if you want to mine it

Rocking it old school.

Shampoo:

I got some of this shit a couple months back. It REEKS. I mean, you can smell it the instant you walk in the bathroom. But somehow, for some reason, I like it.

Wow pine tar. That is fucked up.

Very retro. Pine tar was an old dandruff remedy, which possibly explains why so many grandpas are bald.

Yeah, I don’t use it on my head. Got to say it does a splendid job defunking junk stunk.

I’ve used a lot of different products. I have both some Dial liquid based ones and some Dr. Bronner’s. The former seems to have affected my eczema, so I use it rarely if ever. The latter was okay, but note that Dr. Bronner’s is comparatively thinner than a lot of body shampoos, and man, when they say a particular fragrance, THAT IS IN ABUNDANCE. Using that peppermint as an example, you will smell like toothpaste/gum for the entire day.

I’ve settled back with standard bar soaps, preferably with little or no added fragrance. I let deodorant and cologne take care of that if needed. My skin is a hell of a lot better since switching off of body shampoos.

Lathered, rinsed, and reported.
