Grabbed all the Tomb Raiders - will be nice to play them on PC and get the better res. I’ll hold off on Homefront … it looks interesting but it’s only going to get cheaper based on a 70 metacritic.

I played through the 360 version a couple of weekends ago, it was decent but very short. Maybe 6-8 hours for the whole campaign, especially if you are experienced with shooters. $15 is the upper limit of what I’d recommend paying.

Lots of cutscenes, gameplay is made up of following AI companions who direct you through a number of set-piece battles. There’s a few places where you direct a “Goliath” mobile weapons platform that are a hoot, and a bit where your character protects a convoy in a helicopter. Other than that, its COD-style follow the leader & shoot the bad guys.

Haven’t tried multiplayer.

Is this worth a bargain purchase? I havent played a HOMM game since 3, but I remember liking that one…

Still no D2D codes. I think they’re a bunch of liars.

I just got my 15% off code from D2D for redeeming the Humble Bundle through them. I did email them earlier about having not received it on the 12th, so I don’t know if that helped me get the code or they are just sending it a day late.

Scratch that! They just showed up! $45 for Skyrim after 10% preorder + 15% discount.

I sent them an email yesterday"

The reply I got was this:

So I replied with a link to the promo at the Gamefly site, and also sent the .jpg image of the promo in case the ad is removed from their site.

That was 24 hours ago, no reply yet.

EDIT: Haha, what vesper just said. Got mine as I was typing this.

Aaaand, spent:

V is decent, but not in the same league as II or III. Also, that isn’t much of a bargain since it only includes the game by itself, and the expansions are a substantial improvement to the game. During the Steam summer sale, a package with Heroes V, both of its expansions, and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was going for $5.

Here’s a $5 off coupon code I won’t be using. You can use it to buy a used console game at Gamefly.com

First come first served.

What you said. It’s a competent, brief, and fairly unspired CoD-esque experience in singleplayer. I don’t think it’s awful but it wasn’t nearly worth $50 and even $15 is pushing it. And FWIW, I’m usually the foot-dragger that takes hours longer than most people estimate to complete singleplayer campaigns. I took like 8 or 9 hours to finish Portal, a game most people seem to think was maybe five hours long. Homefront’s entire singleplayer lasted me I would say maybe 3, 3 and a half hours.

My goodness.

Dammit D2D and your crappy phone verification. It failed and now I have to wait for a support monkey.

NY/NJ seem to be taxed on D2D. Still, I’ll take Skyrim for $49 bucks. Thanks Humble Indie Bundle!

Phone verification?

They implemented some new security, where you have to enter a phone number they can call. They then call you on that number and give you a 4 digit pin number that you enter into the website before you can complete your purchase.

Anyhow, I just finished ordering my copy of Skyrim, bring on the horse armor!.

$5 off Gamefly code below if anyone needs it:
HIBRRFWCFWFNPJJP

Weird, I didn’t get that with this purchase.

I’ll have to watch out for it.

If I ever give them a phone number, and that phone starts received spam txt messages, I will be a very unhappy person.

Customer service emailed me back within 10 minutes and got it cleared up. Pre-order placed!

Anyone doing a Dungeon defenders 4 pack on steam? If I get a commitment for 2 others at $10 a pop I’ll spring the extra 50 cents on the two copies I need.

Saints Row The Third download pre-order from Amazon for $39.99.

My understanding is that it’s a Steamworks game.

I’ll join. Hit me up with the PM.
