Correct. From the Steam page:

Notice: Monthly subscription fee required after first month. Product keys will not work with existing EVE Online accounts.

Ooh! Frantically jerks cursor towards the BUY button

Corybantically veers the mouse away!

If you’re going to buy it online with in-store pickup, any codes you use will not be applied to the game. Codes only work for shipped items from gamestop.com. I preordered something a while back and it used some discount code which showed in the cart but was removed when I selected it for in-store pickup.

What? No one talks about Steam Mid Week Madness? 25% off Deus Ex HR!

Because amazon has it for 40% off

Ooh, and it’s a Steamworks game, so we can activate on Steam anyway. BAH, I promised myself I wouldn’t buy anything else before Skyrim! I need to learn to stop reacting to every good sale I see.

Its costing 15£ (23$) at Hut / Zavvi, which is even better than the Steam / Amazon deals.

Except Hut is out of stock of the PC version, and no idea what Zavvi would charge for delivery to the US.

Ah… sorry! I was going by an aggregate site, which just said “go to shop” for availability on those two offers.

Zavvi also has other issueswith the PC version so better stay away for now (incorrect keys not being able to be activated).

Grand Ages: Rome: Gold is $5 on Impulse. It’s worth the price if you like city-builders.

Not to mention 25% off is more than I paid for it before launch.

What is the difference between standard and augmented editions of Deus Ex?

The augmented edition comes with fluff like soundtracks and the like. They were the same price for a while, which is the only reason I have it.

Amazon is offering the PC download version of Saints Row the Third for $39.99 for pre-order. It’s a Steamworks game.

They’ve also got Deus Ex: HR for $29.99 for PC download, cheaper than Steam’s midweek deal. Also a Steamworks game:

When is Amazon going to realize there are PC gamers in Europe as well that might be interested in their download offers?

What’s Europe

It’s that mystical place all the best fantasy and strategy games are inspired by.

It’s where history comes from.

It where the events of Band of Brothers took place. They never told us that in History class…
