You can, but I hardly ever did. My experience was that if time pressure was an issue, you’d already fucked up and should reset.

Through 10/22, get Batman Arkham City (360 or PS3) for $60 with a $30 game coupon… at KMART of all places. It’s in-store only and you have to be a Rewards member (free).

I figure I’ll use the $30 coupon on Uncharted 3.

Good luck finding anything. The K-Mart I went to last (for a similar but possibly less impressive deal) was the most depressing retail experience I’ve ever encountered, and that includes Wal-mart. No organization or care of any kind.

Last time I went to K-Mart the place was so dismal (almost as bad as a Burlington Coat Factory, or a Gemco in its last days) I almost became a cutter.

I’m one of those people. But then again, when Doom first allowed mouse control I argued that a mouse could never offer the same precision as using arrow keys. DL/DR I am very old and not very smart.

As I recall, Bungie is of the opinion the mouse rules. I recall them talking about putting PC Halo players in with Xbox Halo players and PC players totally, convincingly crushed Xbox controller users every single time. That’s how much better mouse control is. I think it was about Halo anyway, it was a Microsoft title.

Cake or death?

Yeah. How the fuck did they ever manage to buy Sears?

I mean, the Martha Stewart Collection can’t be bringing in that much, can it?

Shadowrun is the game you are thinking of, as far as I can remember anyway.

My Mom brought me to a BCF when I was 14 for a suit for a funeral. The BCF was closing and was located in upstate NY. Possibly the most depressign thing…ever.

This is what BCF means in Australia

Maybe Sears was really, really badly off?

The pricks at THQ want $89.99 (US DOLLARS) for it on Steam, cos I live in Australia and Amazon wont sell it to me.

They can all go bite themselves, I’ll buy it next year when it is 10 dollars.

Since I spent the most time in the Bargain Thread, let me dedicated this post, my 1000th, to the Bargain Thread! <3

Yes, and I did that all the time with a gamepad. Even posted about it in the DXHR thread as a tip for other people!

Has ANYONE who claims that the gamepad would be terrible in DXHR actually played the game with a gamepad? Maybe it’s actually the mouse controls that suck…

Man, I tried the demo and just cannot get myself to even want to pay that measly pittance for it. I truly am not hating on it because it is cool to hate on it, I just had zero fun and rolled my eyes at the ridiculousness and horrible gameplay enough during the demo to know I wanted no part of the full game.

The only thing that I felt suffered from using the gamepad was hacking. It wasn’t awful by any means, but it would have been easier to hack multiple nodes with a mouse. However, towards the end I was hacking like three nodes at a time on the gamepad.

That’s really an artifact of traditional shooter design, though, which is utterly focused on fast precise targeting like a shooting gallery. You can run around and bunny-hop at will, and still score headshots at long distances if you put the cursor over the right pixels at the right moment. In a more realistic design where you had to stand still and take aim for a while in order to hit anything, the mouse would cease to be miraculously better than the gamepad.

But anyway, that’s quite irrelevant for DXHR which is a single-player game and gives adequate aim assist.

Most people find Titan Quest to be vastly better with the expansion installed. It is so much better, that it is nearly unplayable in vanilla once you have experienced it expanded.

You’re very lucky. I’ve tried to get the deals mentioned on K-mart’s website several times at my local K-mart, but they have no one there who knows what’s going on, and they keep saying if it’s not in the weekly in-store flyer, they can’t honor the deal. So none of the cool K-mart deals ever pans out for me.
