Does the steam version of Alice come with the updated version of the previous Alice?

Nope.

I think that was just a preorder bonus.

Just downloaded and played Commandos 3 for the first time. Really liking it! Hard ass, fiddly real-time ww2 strategy/puzzle game. Definitely worth checking out for $2.50 if that’s your thing. Just be ready to wear your quick-save / quick-load buttons down.

Origin has 60% off a large majority of their titles. Add a game to your cart, then use the promo code ORIGIN60 to see the discounts. Highlights include Shift 2, Bulletstorm, Dragon Age II and Dead Space 2 for $8 each among others.

I’d pick up Bulletstorm and Dragon Age 2 for $8 each if they were that price on Steam. EA needs to put their games back on there and discount them like that. They’d get at least $16 they wouldn’t otherwise. I’d probably even pick up Dragon Age 2 DLC at 60% off if it was on Steam, too!

Which store?

Apparently the discount is only good if you access the store through the Origin client. I’m located in the US, no idea if this only good for us North Americans.

Oh, I see. So this isn’t so much a deal as (E)A TRAP!

Dungeon Defenders is available for purchase through Amazon for about $12 which is about .75¢ more than the Steam 4-pack. It uses Steam activation, so the game can be redeemed through Steam.

I imagine you won’t get any of the Steam exclusive items though, but do get a dragon pet.

Dungeon Defenders

Can someone outside North America confirm if this works?

Nice!

Double dare you to install origin yourself!

I can confirm that it doesn’t work in North America on any of the 360 games. I’m not really interested in any of their PC offerings though, so I haven’t tried those.

I just confirmed that this doesn’t work, here in the Netherlands. Tried it on Dead Space 2; Origin told me the code is invalid.

As if their USD prices weren’t already often stupidly cheap compared to the EUR ones, they now offer discounts off those too and still charge full price in their European storefronts. Ugh.

Yep full price still here in the UK,

OH SHIT YES

Cargo: Quest for Gravity, Ice-Pick Lodge’s bonkers build-a-vehicle game, is Steam’s daily deal at 66% off, $6.79.

As a game, it’s merely OK. As a bizarre experience it’s very good, and as a way to give more money to Ice-Pick Lodge it’s excellent.

If you want a fantastic game, The Void is their masterpiece so far and only $10.

Doesn’t work for me in the UK.

AW YISS thanks for the heads up, Giaddon.
