Yeah, thanks, I’ve been waiting for a good price on that. It looks crazy, in typical Ice-Pick Lodge fashion.

Goddamnit. Now I need to install Origin. Well, at least I don’t need the Impulse client installed anymore.
For others wondering, you need to have the Origin software client installed and order through the Origin client (you can download the client at www.dm.origin.com/download). The promo code DOES NOT work if you order on their website, which is utterly stupid (and exactly what I’d expect from EA).

Too bad Steam doesn’t offer price matching.
I didn’t see this posted in the last couple of pages: Greenmangaming has several preorders for $37.57 (Batman AC, Stronghold 3, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations). Also, Shogun 2 is $22.57.

The Void is 66% off on gamersgate. At 3 euros, I’m definitely going to buy it, since I love Pathologic.

That’s awesome. If you’re getting The Void, I’ll direct you to the unofficial difficulty patches here (options for medium or easy). The game is quite tough, and I hate to think that the difficulty prevents people from experiencing it all the way to the end. If you’re struggling, give one a shot! (I think medium is a good setting).
How long is that up for, then?
I don’t want to install Origin on my office computer, and I won’t be home until late.
Wait what? Still showing ten bucks here. :/
Might be a Euro-only deal, since I think there’s a separate listing for the US version that might not have been included.

Sims Medieval + Expansion for $24 is pretty good deal using the origin60 code.

I can confirm the Origins60 deal works in Canada. Just picked up DAII for USD$9.04, tax included (Tax?? on a digital purchase? WTF, EA!)
I may never get around to actually playing the game given my huge current backlog, but I figured it wasn’t ever going to get much lower than 8 bucks.

In the US anyway, buyers are legally obligated to report their online purchases when filing. For some reason, most don’t, and states have upped the pressure on the retailers to collect the taxes themselves. It’s very interesting.
But I don’t know Canada’s deal.
We have a federal sales tax that’s probably a lot easier to enforce and collect, since it would apply to everyone. I’m not sure what they do about provincial sales taxes, since that’s something I hear happens in those strange, far-off lands like “Bee Cee”…
I’m in that magical land of BC, where we have a provincial sales tax, and I can’t remember ever being charged tax on a digital purchase. Steam certainly never charges me tax.
When oh when will we see Space Pirates and Zombies on sale somewhere?

The Origin client is surprisingly lightweight. A nice replacement for Impulse.

I don’t see myself replacing Impulse too soon, I still have games I actively play there, and still get updates for some stuff (plus I have no idea how Fallen Enchantress will be handled for existing WoM customers yet). If anything, Origin would just be an additional platform I have to fuck with. I’m not expanding my Platform library any more. Thankfully, I couldn’t care less about any exclusive EA/Origin games I can think of off the top of my head.
For God’s sake, definitely use this mod. The original release version was balls nasty. It made Pathologic look like Tiddlywinks.
