<90s CGW editor mode>Why do you people keep talking about Myst in a gaming forum?</90s CGW Editor mode>

Uru is the engine for some lame MagiQuest game.

If you have the choice, play RealMyst instead of standard Myst. Dunno how all the fans of classic Myst would feel about this, but navigating the world was so much easier. Plus I enjoyed traversing a 3D landscape in first person, instead of a series of screenshots. Riven looks so great though, even for a bunch of screenshots and prerendered cutscenes, I wouldn’t worry about playing it even though there’s no 3D/FPS version available.

Amazon has Battlefield 3 for PC download for 15% off today, bringing the total to…$50.99. Not much of a bargain, but for whatever it’s worth:

I see Impulse/Gamestop has S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat Loyalty Edition on sale for $4.99
It says that “Loyalty Edition requires S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl to install and play!”. I have the retail version, will that suffice for the loyalty edition? Or does it have to be from the same download service?
Edit to add: According to Impulse forums, it should work.

What’s The First Templar like? It sounds interesting, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it before…

It’s a medieval 3rd person action game. Made by the Tropico company, weirdly enough.
It’s decent, if a bit shaky on the ol’ production values. It’s most fun in coop, but the coop is very poorly handled (coop partner has no menu access, can’t make character build choices, etc. Also, friend functionality is Facebook-based and there’s no other way to restrict access to multiplayer (not that there are many people trying to join). And no built in way to communicate that we could find.) I got about 2/3rds through it with a friend and then my save vanished.
Grid for $3.74 is an absolute steal. Probably my favorite racer of all time. If you have any interest whatsoever in the genre there’s no reason not to pick it up for that price.
Agreed, I love it on my PS3.
EA Origin PC-only deals…Crysis 2, 16$. Dragon Age 2, 8$.
Use code CRYSIS60 for Crysis 2 and DRAGON60 for Dragon Age 2. Codes only work during checkout in the Origin client.

The general consensus around here is that DA2 isn’t worth $8 right?
I don’t think so. Ask me, and it was worth the $50 I paid. I think very few people would say it’s not worth at least eight dollars.
It’s worth about $20 if you can enjoy it for what it is. Just stop playing if you get bored or tired of the same old environments and combat waves.

Nope, many around here enjoyed it quite a bit even at full price.

Well, opinions seem to indicate DA2 is way better then I was led to believe. I’m torn on whether to add it to my backlog or not, what with Skyrim and SOTS2 coming out so soon.
To clarify, the general consensus is that DA2 was not as enjoyable as DAO. That’s not to say it was a terrible game, just dissappointing. How acutely you feel that dissappointment (including whether you experience it at all) could taint your enjoyment of the title and view on whether it’s worth the price or time spent.
