I love Armageddon Empires and (mainly) Solium Infernum. For 50% off I guess I have to try Six Gun Saga now.

I’m baffled why Steam would reject it, but at 50% off I’m happy to finally pick up Six Gun Saga.

Quoting this because it is an awesome deal somewhat modeled on the humblebundle, with less charity and a new pricing twist.

I read at SA (that someone read elsehwere) that Gemini Rue will also be getting steam keys (the only game that doesn’t yet, because its pre-release on steam).

This deal finally got me to checkout Desura, which actually looks to be an interesting service.

And thanks for the Cryptic Comet discount news.

I bet that Vic’s use of Macromedia or some other tech issue is what is keeping it off steam. Otherwise I can’t think of any reason whatsoever.

I bought the indie royale bundle but already have a copy of A.R.E.S., so if anyone is interested in this or just wants a free game, pm me and I’ll give you the Steam key.

Not sure if this is UK only, but Renegade Ops buy 2 get 2 free seems like a good deal.

Can’t post a link because of my post count, but it’s available at:

pcworlddownloads.co.uk

So a licensing problem? That makes a little sense. I had figured it was just that his games don’t lend themselves to any flashy marketing (boring screenshots & videos) and that Valve figured it didn’t have a lot of revenue potential because of it, but then it’s not like it would have cost them a bunch of man hours to host it.

Picked up Armageddon Empires, Plus six gun Saga, just in time for a camping trip! (Yes I take a netbook camping, don’t judge me)

Have not played yet, but Six Gun Saga especially seems to be screaming for an iPad port.

Vic gave some insight here.

Hey, Steam’s going all-out with a lot of sales on spooky games through Monday.

Some highlights:
Left 4 Dead 2 -$7
Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper - $5
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened - $2.50
Painkiller Complete - $5
Vampire: Bloodlines - $5

Steam Halloween sale is up. There’s no gimmicks like themed content or camp prizes or even daily deals, just a bunch of games that are vaguely related to Halloween have discounts for a few days. The prices are not that great either, IMO, though I’ll still pick up a few things.

How about an Amazon Halloween Game sale?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&plgroup=1&docId=1000733571

Steam sale as noted above.

I know some folks have been waiting for a sale on SPAZ, and it’s down to $11.24.

Hahaha, Trains Vs. Zombies???!?!

Hahahahahahahha

Halloween brings out the best in adventure games!

Amnesia - $4
Scratches - $3.40
Dark Fall: Lost Souls - $5
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened - $2.50
Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper - $5
Penumbra Collection - $5
Still Life - $4
Dracula: Path of the Dragon - $8

I grabbed that ghostbusters videogame with the original cast. Sure it’s a throwaway purchase, but $2.50? Why not?

Trains vs. Zombies made me laugh too.

$5 for Vampire: Bloodlines is pretty tempting, but I remember reading that it was extremely buggy. Anyone know if it ever got fixed post-release?

The community has been ridiculously strong with post-release support. The latest unofficial patch for vampire bloodlines is now up to a staggering version 7.8.

http://www.patches-scrolls.de/vampire_bloodlines.php

Actually, it’s not even worth that. It’s a terrible game with a garbage story, lackluster controls, rotten dialog, and boring combat. The whole vampire thing is as thin and weak as wet tissue paper. And the unofficial community patches? Pfffft. Talk about trying to slap a fresh coat of paint on a turd…in this case the “fresh coat of paint” is actually “civet urine”, which is generally recognized as one of the most malodorous substances on earth.

If you’ve followed the threads on Qt3, then you’d already know that that Bloodlines stands as one of the most despised and mocked games here. Truly, it is absolutely pure shit, and regardless of the game picking itself up a little in its third act (an exciting, tense jaunt through the sewers of Hollywood), it’s not worth -$5, much less $5.
