The not-God Bless America version does have awful controls. The America is #1 version has remap options. GoG, for whatever reason, has the Gremlin (not Red-Blooded American) version, BUT I think there’s stickies in GoG forums that address this.

But for $3 terrible controls and all…it’s ROTH.

RotH is pure love apart from that nauseatingly awful maze at the end.

Yes. My only suggestion would be to get the inventory/weight mod. Other than that it’s a fantastic series. Depending on how casual you are, it should be noted you’ll probably die a lot without reducing difficulty.

Is it known what the problems are? I just did a race in it under 64-bit Win7 without any trouble (first time I’d played it under Win7, having previously installed it under XP and copied it from there), but maybe the problems are subtler or at specific points. It’s got the GFWL crud, though.

That’s a bummer about it not running in Windows 7, as noted earlier.

IIRC, isn’t Flatout UC just a graphics-updated version of Flatout 2, pretty much?

BTW, did no one have an opinion about the Dead Rising 2 question I had above, i.e. which version to get (PS3, 360 or PC)?

That’s actually a pretty awesome game. I’m especially fond of that whole sequence where the player is given the opportunity to really do that awesome thing while all those other features provide such a unique experience.
